Red Earth Recording Studios is a professional recording studio located in Zion Canyon near St. George, Utah. We providing audio recording, mixing, producing, arranging and songwriting services. We service the St. George, Utah, Cedar City, Utah, Las Vegas, Nevada areas and beyond. Drawing on a wide range of experience, we use state-of-the-art equipment state-of-the-art equipment at our beautiful facility to deliver pristine sound quality for our customers' projects. Engineer/Mixer/Producer/Composer
Owner and Lead Engineer Dave Tate has spent his life studying music and working in the industry. Dave has studied voice, guitar, theory and composition extensively at Utah State University, The University of Utah, and Dixie State College of Utah. As an artist, Dave Tate has recorded 11 studio albums of original work in the last 15 years. He has toured across the Western United States repeatedly and in Europe several times. He has been an active player in the music scenes of Austin, Portland, Salt Lake City and now Southern Utah. He has been a session player and producer on numerous professional projects.
Dave Tate has composed for and performed with a wide range of ensembles. He can move easily between genres, including: Rock, Indie, Folk, Jazz, Soul, Ska, Punk, and Classical. With a wide breadth of experience, Dave knows what different styles should sound like and how to achieve that sound as a producer and engineer. Whether he's playing the role of engineer, producer, songwriter, composer or any combination of the four; Dave's commitment to excellence is clear in all of his work.
