I'm really blown away by the negative reviews. First of all, yes, wholesale only, hence the signs. Second thing, problems, of course they only offer 10% off on SW, they only carry SW, the FW comes from Southland another great company. Also, in this business there are always problems, what matters is: will they take care of you? I have NEVER been denied or hassled about a claim. 99% of my order is always well packed an in great condition. They also call me and let me know about out of stocks and other issues. In short, if you're in the fish and coral game and you want a supplier that has your back, look no further.
Our company just got into this business, we made our 1st order With Alex. I really recommend him as your salesperson. He is absolutely a top-notch. he made a follow up call after our purchase to see how the fish are doing, and if we were pleased. very rare you see a salesperson like him.
Wholesale only. Don't be surprised, this is an major supplier of aquarium fish and products that strictly deals with businesses in the industry - no every-day hobbyists allowed. With that out of the way, this is one of the best suppliers out there, prices are on par with other competing and near by establishments. Great selection, helpful sales staff - and on top of all AWESOME specials. They make being a business owner awesome! And, Robert: They have said on at least 3 episodes, that ERI is WHOLESALE only. Sorry to burst your 1 Star bubble, mate.
Placed my first order with Exotic Reef Imports after seeing them on that TV show Tanked. I had prepared a order sheet for the week prior and because they didn't have a item that I wanted in stock I requested that Sergio Manager if he could hold the items I wanted till the following week until they get the item that I was waiting for. Requested twice through email and phone and no reply. First unprofessional practice - With no reply it was clear they weren't going to hold any items so the following week when I seen the new inventory and the item I wanted in I went ahead and placed a new order. I found a few items from my previous request which I never received a reply from from another wholesaler and went with them for those item. As these were special order items my client wanted these right away. WIth having no contact with Sergio himself my order was shipped out via the airlines. I was told that I would receive flight information the night before. I did receive the invoice and it was incorrect as they put two of the items from a previous order on my current order. I called and left a message, but received no reply back 2nd Unprofessionalism The morning of delivery I didn't receive arrival information and had to call Exotic Reef Imports. They started by telling me I had to call and see when the flight arrives. This was a first as I am the customer and they needed to provide me this information the night before. This was their third unprofessionalism. At the Airport I had to pay double that I would normally pay for a order of this size. Come to find out they pack there fish with lots of water which made the shipment over 200 pds. The fish arrived well minus the Pufferfish they sent me as he wasn't doing well with the acclimatation. This item as well as a Raccoon Butterfly was not to be in the order and were part of the past request. I called again and finally got a hold of someone and they put me on hold for over 45 minutes trying to find a way to get back the fish or have another store they supply to pick it up. I was open to all of these except when I was requested to drive 45 minutes 1.5 hrs in traffic to another store to dropp off. No way! Having paid a huge amount on shipping, waisting all my time and energy on this I wasn't going to obligate any more time to this. Plus the guy I spoke t named Frank was very rude and belittled me on the phone. Really? How can a place run a business with this type of poor attitude for the customer. There are 100's of other wholesalers out there that would love to have a chance to fill a order. 4 th unprofessionalism. I requested I get refund for those two fish I ordered and to be done with it. After agreeing that Fedex would come to pick up the two fish on Friday, I get a email from Sergio saying that I would be credited back the amount plus shipping fee's. Finally this was the Manager doing the "Right Thing". Friday came and all day the fish stayed in the box ready for shipment back. I waited till the end of the day and called. The receptionist said she would call Sergio and if he didn't call back she would be sure to call me Friday night and get my refund takin care of. No call or message. I waited till late when I knew fedex would not be coming to take out the fish out of the boxes to find the puffer already deceased and the Raccoon hanging on for life. I tried to save the Raccoon, but by Sat morning he was gone. I called again on Saturday and Sunday and sent emails with no reply. I must say this is the WORST WHOLESALE ORDER I have ever Had with a Wholesaler. I am guessing after the TV Show "Tanked" Customer Service and Care for each Customer went out the window. Sergio at Exotic Reef had so many opportunities to make it right and choose to too. I WOULD NOT ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!. There are many other Wholesalers that take great care of there customers. BUYER BEWARE!!
Poor company to bussiness with. Similar to their DOA policy, I guess it doesnt apply to a supplier that supplies them. Lost out on almost 3k due to their lack of service letting the inbound package sit at the airport or their faucilty for an additional 12 to 18 hours reporting doa 48 hours later. And on top of that the packages were damaged by Southwest and no claim was made. Stay away from this company as they are not looking out for their best interest let alone yours
I was very disappointed to find out they will not sale to a hobbyist like myself. Only wholesale. If they would just take the time they really could make a website to sale online as well. A real shame and rude to us at home. If I find out who they do sale to I wont buy from them because of how they are.
I love your shop because of TANKED they usually come to your shop and fish. Fish wear are around the world and very exotic fish you wear having in the shop and you also got clown fish and sharks and stingray and very colourful fish and the baby's and reef also you got
Great source of good livestock have never had any return problems and very very minimal DOAs and 10 years
Whole sale only! Dont go if you want to shop for or buy fish. They wont even let you in unless you are whole sale!
They have people like Josh Graves working there who are rip off artists and can not be trusted There are many other choices
