Reiki
Reiki, pronounced (Ray-Key) is a Japanese technique which reduces stress and promotes relaxation and healing to the body, mind and spirit. The work Reiki means life force energy or universal energy.
During a Reiki session, the client remains fully clothes and may rest comfortably on a massage table or seated in a chair. The Reiki practitioner uses a light touch and a variety of hand positions over energy centers in the body to help balance and restore a natural flow of energy. A treatment may be given with the hands slightly above the body for those sensitive to touch.
During a session, you may experience pleasant sensations of warmth flowing through the body. It is a very relaxing experience. A typical session is between 30 minutes to 60 minutes, but may be shorter or longer depending on the clients needs. Most people report feeling deep relaxation, improved focus, feelings of well-being and improved sleep. Reiki has been used to treat every known illness.
Reiki is not meant to replace traditional medicine. It is an alternative therapy that compliments all forms of traditional Western medicine. Reiki is not a religion, but is spiritual in nature.
Sessions by appointment only.
