I love our lake and damn so anytime I have time to stop and fish or just watch the water I do. But some people choose to make it ugly by not cleaning up after themselves, so please leave a place better than you found it.
If you want to get pictures of the night sky, without being flooded by light pollution, go here. It’s amazing
Very frustrating only one side is still open. Seems like they have been remodeling forever. Lots of junk in the water that is catching hooks and fishing line. Also really irritating that kayaks and tubers can put it here and float/paddle down river from here when people are trying to fish.
Just stopped to take a good look around but there’s a couple of nice trails here, a good parking lot, and a couple of fishing spots built at the bottom of the small dam, which seems to always be running a little bit of water into the river below.
Always peaceful, only one area open, still closed to area below the upper dam. Saw a big striper caught here many years ago. Next time I will have my fishing gear
Great place out if the way. Nice trails very well marked. Great for kids to explore and enjoy nature’s beautiful sites. Nice picnic are with bathrooms. Definitely worth a stop in your in the area. Seen a lot of people fishing on the spill way and enjoying the amazing weather.
Love the serenity, and the hidden pond trail. The trail is my favorite. Great place to catch striped bass, but easy to get hung up in the currents and rocks.
Pleasant place to visit…. There is a Small play area for kids.. great picnic spot!!
Beautiful place, worth to visit if you drive by
We stopped at the dam for a while with one our daughter and a couple of grands. After ducking a quick rain shower, we had a good time taking pics and chatting up some local fisherman.
