When we got to our room the temp was 78 degrees. By day four our room got as high as 80 degrees. We asked the front desk manager for a different room and he mentioned they were sold out. We were told someone would look at it for four days, and the end result was a fan in the window. That was a $49.99 a night fix, not a $280.00 a room night.They eventually got us a different room. The laundry room is a mess. The baseboard strips were in a pile, Washer machine doesn't ring out your clothes completely, and the dryer won't get them dry. I tried for 2 dryer cycles, and my clothes were as wet as when I put them in. The front desk did give me my money back. Room service isn't very good. We spent a week here in town for my brother's wedding, so I was able to get a really good feel for the quality provided by this hotel. I do not recommend this establishment.
The 2 bedrooms with sofa sleeper, kitchen, and 2 bathrooms were comfortable for a family of 4. It was quiet. We were provided plenty of towels, toilet paper, coffee, and pillows for our week stay.Rooms: 4/5
I begged for room service all day and each time I was told someone would be up to assist. No one ever came despite me asking for a plunger . No clean towels were given and the toilet was stopped up . I literally had to pack up and go to another hotel for comfort. Elevator takes 1 mins to open after arriving at your floor . Dogs were allowed around the breakfast food . The dishes in the room were filthy. I was told that the manager was on vacation and there was no one I could speak with regarding my stay .
We got to our hotel room only to discover that all cleaning products and detergents are lavender, which I am allergic to. It was not made clear that this entire hotel only uses lavender projects and there are no other options. What happened to fragrance free items?Rooms: 1/5
The only reason this is not a 5 star is air conditioning is not working correctly in many rooms. Temp a/c units in some of the rooms. Some deferred maintenance, for example all of the windows need replacing in the whole complex.Rooms: 2/5
The air-conditioning did not work and the desk told us that we had to stay there for the night and change rooms in the morning 80 degrees could not sleep and service was awful. Would not even cut the price so we had to call main office to get a deductionRooms: 1/5
This hotel is not remotely "renovated." It is really dated and run down. I am actually moving after one night and wish I had not even checked in when seeing the property. Very disappointing. I should have known looking at the map, but it is about 30' from C-470.
I would not even momentarily consider returning to this dump. This place is ruined with cigarette smoke, and appears to be “the local dive”, where “that type” of people like to stay. The hallways are dark and gloomy, and often smell like cigarettes. I saw a guy in his 20s, wearing an oversized winter coat, looking lost, boarding the elevator with a cigarette in his mouth. I notified the front desk about this, and asked them to send security to our building. They didn’t even reply. I’m a Marriott gold elite member, and I requested a late checkout 3 times throughout my stay: once in my reservation, and twice via chat. They didn’t respond. One of the toilets was clogged upon check-in, and one of the showers was backed up throughout our 2 night stay. This hotel is basically a run down, lower-class apartment building. Absolutely nothing like any of the other Residence Inns we’ve stayed at, and far from the Marriott brand standard. Priced at nearly double the last one we stayed at, in Bismarck, ND, which was exceptionally clean, new, and well-maintained. To be clear, these problems don’t strike me as the fault of housekeeping whatsoever. Even upon close examination of my 2 bedroom suite, they definitely did their job, and did it as well as they could. Regardless, I would definitely not recommend staying here. One star for a gross-feeling, poorly-soundproofed, poorly-maintained hotel, with a sketchy and borderline disturbing vibe to it, and most importantly, a non-communicative front desk.
This hotel is not state of the art or newly refurbished. Many parts of my room were run down and needed work, or replacing. However, everything was clean and well stocked. The fireplace was good to have in the cold and the beds comfortable. Heater kept us toasty warm in the snow. The price very reasonable for a 2 bedroom suite. Free parking. Very close to good restaurants and entertainment. They have a little store with treats and snacks. Continental breakfast was standard and nice to have. Every single staff member we encountered was awesome. Kind, helpful, and hardworking, from the front desk to cleaning crew and breakfast. So in summary, not the best hotel but a decent stay with no complaints.
