Be sure to check the products she's using. I caught her using non-organic hair products which were different and more harmful than the ones she we agreed upon for the price during consultation. Deleted my previous honest review,so I am reposting. She also complained to me for hours about her young daughter, whom she allows to run around town unsupervised becsuse she works so much. That's unfortunate, but I didnt come here to have a stranger emotionally dump on me about the life choices she's making. I also didnt enjoy hearing about how she doesn't take her massage license seriously. During our initial consultation, I provided a reference picture. She assured me it would be easy for her to achieve the look, leading me to believe that this was within her abilities. I requested semi-permanent in some areas with semi permanent in other areas, we even agreed on the brands to be used because I care very much about what goes in my body. This is the reason I font mind paying more for organic products and stylists who are knowledgable about them. When I noticed she was using permanent dye where we had agreed upon demi, I mentioned the reason I preferred semi was because its less damaging and toxic. She gave me the brush-off, claiming that permanent is not really that much more damaging. Then I noticed the second hair color, which we agreed would be semi-permanent as I like to change the color in that area regularly was not at all what we agreed on. It was a cheaper brand that is not organic and tests on animals. She insisted this was necessary to achieve the look in the reference picture. Since the color had already been applied to my hair, I felt I didnt have much choice. I then notice the color is much darker than the agreed upon color or the color on the reference photo. After rinsing, I pointed out that it was way too dark and I was unhappy with it. She assured me it would be more to my liking if she styled it like in the reference photo. I allowed her the time to do this, hoping it would salvage something. At this point, I began recording video. I told her the color still was too dark. She insisted it was the lighting, and it would show up in natural light outside despite the fact that the reference photo had been taken indoors,so we went outside to take photos. I was still unhappy, and she apologized and said she would not charge me for her time that day, and would refund the amount she had charged me the previous day. As we are walking inside to process the refund, her young daughter and friend walk in, and suddenly her tone and attitude change. She insists she only said she would not charge me that day ,and would not be issuing a refund. She insisted the style and color did not turn out as expected due to the texture and poor condition of my hair, which was not her fault. So she's trying to insult me in front of an audience and deny she charged me hundreds then used much cheaper products. Then starts encouraging her child to get involved in this argument, which made no sense since her daughter hadn't even been there to see what happens. Also, what kind if a mother gets her child involved in such a situation? I held up my phone to show her I had been recording and asked of she was really going to continue her denial of what happened as well as my refund. She rolled her eyes, sighed, and refunded my money. I later found out from friend of mine who is also a cosmetologist that this woman had blacklisted me and encouraged other stylists to either not work with me at all or do poor work on my hair. Ridiculous! I'm not surprised the place is closed.Service: Haircut
The best salon I've been to in Oregon, hands down. I have anxiety and don't like most salons due to the cramped space and several people. Restoration Beauty Salon's space is so serene and relaxing I wanted to honestly take a nap there. Rachel did an amazing job with my hair and really understood what I wanted. I will definitely be back.
Tried several organic colors and this is by far the Best. Recommend to anyone whose looking to make a healthy choice in hair care. Rachel is pleasant and professional and works with my sometimes crazy schedule. So glad to have an organic salon in community
My daughter is very sensitive to color and chemicals, so I looked for a stylist in Southern Oregon that Offers Organic alternatives. Rachel was very knowledgeable when we talked on the phone and I gifted my daughter a haircut and color with her. The results looked great and were toxin Free!
I absolutely LOVE this salon!! For the first time in my life, I was able to visit a salon without leaving with a migraine. The owner, Rachel, is an absolute GEM in our community!!
