We ordered a custom art piece and should receive this week. I love that this store offers Kansas City products from Kansas City creators. They have candles that smell amazing and crafted locally.
Some woman who claims to own this place got angry at me for driving through “her” parking lot. She followed me in her giant SUV all the way to the plaza, never using her blinker and not leaving any more than a few feet between us. She even pulled in front of me at a four way intersection just so she could get out her car to yell at me. If I had a dash cam I would have reported this to the police. Don’t worry I won’t use your parking lot, and I’ll never step foot in your store.
Love this store! It's just like walking into an episode of Fixer Upper at the end of the show! ; The store is filled with adorable furniture, home decor, and other cute little goodies. You will never leave empty handed. Also, I'm not sure what the previous reviewer meant about all of the empty space? I sure didn't see much of that! Just go, you will not be disappointed!
Amazing place to visit for the decorator and hobbyist alike! The 2 guys running the shop today we're friendly and welcoming. Even gave me a tour of the shop and told me of a tent sale in the summer! Great experience, will definitely be back to this store.
I love this business. Of course I am biased as my daughter is the owner. I own 4 homes across the US and each had its own personal flair and design. Each home is filled with wonderful finds from RE. The vendors make, create and repurpose beautiful, wonderful items. Yes, there are market items for fillers. We all love those in our home design. The vendors work extremely hard to keep these stores filled with their unique items. Don’t miss out on visiting any of these “one of a kind” stores when you visit KC.
I live in NJ but have visited the store several times and shopped the IG Live sales and the website they ship. Fun store, great selection including locally made and vintage items, friendly people. Check them out!
This is one of my Top 3 favorite stores in KC! If you are a first-timer, I highly recommend this Crossroads location to get a good idea of the personality of this wonderful, locally-owned company. I do love the Plaza store too! Also, following them on instagram @remporium is well worth it. They do weekly/bi-weekly instagram live sales and flash sales on the stories from time to time.
Great pieces, friendly staff, good prices. They have two locations, and you should absolutely check out both! Plaza and Crossroads. They've got a lot of great KC stuff and feature local vendors. Nice family!
Some of the staff are very unfriendly, others are nice. Also the vendors talked poor on the owner. Stating to try and stay away from her as she is a superficial witch. Edit: Only furthering my point. The owner knowing my distaste replied to this review; only to make my opinion invalid. With no concerns to try and make my experience better or amend the situation she mocked me. I guess she’s still holding onto High School. The owner acts like she never left.
Enjoy getting that there is nearly always someone at the door greeting the visitors, helpful staff that will take items to the front desk for me, and people willing to teach me how to paint my own furniture. The classes they offer are truly about the customer, I mean who else teaches people how to fix up and paint furniture when its what they do for a living. Obviously have the customer in mind when they creating a full shopping experience.
