Description

Revival is an Iowa City, IA based destination for eclectic new, resale, & vintage clothing. Opened in 2003 by the IC born & NYC trained Sheila Davisson, Revival is a boutique where style always trumps fashion. Customers are encouraged to mix and match our inventory to hone their own personal expression, no matter the budget. In 2013, we launched Revival Online, bringing our curated collection of clothing, accessories, & locally made goods to the Internet.

In store & online, we provide a fun, friendly, and accessible environment designed to encourage & inspire. We believe our customers create their style, Revival simply provides the pieces.

Hands down the best place in Iowa City for women’s clothing and gifts. They've always had the best mix of vintage and great new pieces from high quality independent designers. Affordable apothecary, jewelry and gift options. They have tonnnns of high quality secondhand pieces that are super affordable. Basically everyone’s go-to shop in Iowa City. Not to mention an incredible staff and community oriented owner.
The best. Revival offers a healthy approach to fashion consumerism without coming off pretentious. They're trade/consignment options are so good. Plus the staff are actual angels. Also, weirdly this store gives off a clean and curated vibe even though I'm fairly certain they carry every style of clothing there is! A little bit of something for everyone. It's been my #1 shopping option since first moving to Iowa City 5 years ago!
Flawless! I've thrifted so many cute sweaters from here that were reasonably priced. They have a great selection of clothes. They even have various shoes and accessories. Their incense smells SO GOOD, and the air fresheners are a must have especially thyme. Staff is really friendly too. Took my boyfriend here he doesn't really enjoy shopping but was impressed with the mens selection they had in the back. Super cute, will be back! :
As a local customer for 15+ plus years, I'm shocked and saddened by the lack of customer service. I dropped off my mother's entire vintage closet of pristine 1980's clothing to Revival and asked for store credit. A year+ later, I called into use the credit and they said it had expired. I gave them $100's if not $1,000's of dollars of clothing and I never received an email notification, call, or text to notify me of the credit terminating. -- Shocking, considering the clerks at the time said it was, "one of the best drops they had seen," -- and to boot, I had gone to high school with the manager. I was not walk-in from the street or college student. I emailed the store and there was no meeting in the middle, no compensation, no apologies, and silence from the owner. ....Ps, currently looking for a better option to take the remainder of a fabulous vintage closet. RESPONSE TO COMMENT: The owner was cc'd on the email and never replied to the concern, which is a lack of response and communication. There is a lack of due diligence on both fronts; no notification of pending expiration of credit, and no response from the owner, which does not reflect well and is not a good form of business. I dropped the clothing off 2 years ago this month and this was brought to your attention at the beginning of July, so your timing is off. And, what your store is doing may not be legal under the law. Here is a quick reference on gift cards and credits under Iowa law and guidance from Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller. Gift certificates and gift cards:  If you're thinking of buying a gift certificate or gift card, check the retailer’s policy.  Find out if the retailer will give a credit or cash return if the purchase price is less than the value of the gift certificate, and any other terms the store places on the certificates.  Money on a gift card cannot expire for at least five years from the date of purchase, or from the last date you loaded any additional funds onto the card.  Retailers can charge inactivity fees only after a card has been inactive for at least one year, and they can charge you only once per month.  The card’s expiration date must be clearly disclosed on the card, and fees must be clearly disclosed on the card or its packaging.
I buy at least half of my clothes here. The clothing is well curated. If you become familiar with the store and have patience, you will find a gem at an affordable price. This is also a good place for gift hunting- they have some apothecary items and home decor that will delight the stylish people in your life!
Cute tops and cute dresses. They have both new and vintage clothes plus purses and shoes. This is a place you have to visit often since vintage stuff is always changing. They have cute art prints of Iowa City too!
I've only been in here a few times, but I'm so in love with this place. Everyone who works there are so kind and make you feel welcome. I have found some of my favorite tops here.
I've been shopping at Revival since arriving in Iowa City five years ago. They never disappoint!!!
Picked up a great pair of Jeffery Campbell shoes here today in great condition and at a great price! Such a fun store!
