Revolution Masonic Lodge #552
AF&AM
Greensboro, NC
The Grand Lodge of Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons of North Carolina is the oldest and largest fraternal organization in North Carolina. The Grand Lodge has been in continuous operation since it was established by a convention of Masonic lodges in Tarboro, N.C., December 1787. Previous to that, Masonic lodges had met in North Carolina since 1755 under the authority of several other grand lodges. The collection consists of minute books, ledgers, account books, other similar financial record-keeping volumes, membership returns, bylaws, and other papers that document many extinct and some active individual lodges under the Grand Lodge of Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons of North Carolina.
Masonry is the world's first and largest fraternal organization. It is a body of knowledge and a system of ethics based on the belief that each man has a responsibility to improve himself while being devoted to his family, faith, country, and fraternity.
As Masons, we lead by example, give back to our communities, and support numerous Masonic philanthropies. We invest
in children, our neighborhoods, and our future.
