Richard Margolis Studio
Richard Margolis is a working photographer based in Rochester, NY. His studio is located on the 4th floor of the Anderson Alley Arts building and is open for viewing for First Fridays September through May or by appointment.
Richard has extensively and consistently photographed landmark buildings, public art, and big trees in western New York and Israel. He believes that these things, though often overlooked, make the world a more wonderful place. He considers his work printmaking. His creative work can be seen more in the manipulation of the print than in the subject of his photographs, still, a consistent nuance and aesthetic point of view exists through his body of work.
Richard has exhibited widely both in the U.S. and internationally. His work is in many collections including Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris, France; The Library of Congress, Washington, DC; The Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY; Rochester International Airport, Rochester, NY; Victoria & Albert Museum, London, England; and Yale University, New Haven, CT.
