Artist, Rick Muto, is a painter who has applied his talants to a career as a Decorative painter, muralist and easel painter for over thirty years.
His repertoire includes traditional techniques such as marbling, wood graining, stylized freehand decoration and various painted and glazed applications that evoke aged and natural surfaces. He adjuncts these skills with other decorative artisan-ship, including gilding, venetian plaster and fine finishing.
As a muralist, Rick has a significant number and variety of murals employing architectural tromp l-oeil, landscape, still life, figurative and narrative genres.

These "visual narratives" become a lasting tribute, honoring people and events that were responsible for the success of many of today's companies and organizations.Rick has done murals for many area institutions, community groups and businesses including Mann's Jewelers, Bausch & Lomb, Rochester City school District, Canandaigua National Bank, Cornell Jewelers and the The Friendly Home, as well as a multitude of private residences. Most recetly Rick has been working with Steinway & Sons producing grand piano's embellished with paintings of various styles and themes.
