What is a PAC?
PACs were created by the provincial government as a forum within each school community to discuss matters affecting a school and the education of the children within it, and to give parents an opportunity to advise school administration on parental views about school programs, policies and activities.
PACS provide an opportunity for parents to have a voice and a role in their child’s school community, in order to enhance the public education experience. They also serve to organize activities and events which support the school, including fundraising and school community-building activities.
When and where are the meetings?
Meetings are held on the third Monday of most months during the school year (no regular meetings scheduled for December, March, or June), at 7:00 p.m., in the school library. Currently scheduled meeting dates are listed in this booklet, and on our website at ridgewaypac.org
