This was the first gym I visited at Fort Bragg. The sign up was easy, and even better that one sign up puts you in the system for all the gyms on base. There are several.... what??? That's awesome. Also, compared to my National Guard life, these folks are jacked up. That's good, I am too. I noticed people staring at me, if only they knew I make M&Ms for a living and not full time service. It's ok though. I served active with 101st. It sticks with you. Anyway, this place was awesome. Huge. Like huge huge. There's some type of smoothie bar, but it was closed at that particular time. Oh well. Next time. I'll be heading that way everyday. Please visit this gym ‍ it's great
You want to get a good workout in on-post? Come to this gym! It has everything you need see the images and video attached. I’m not familiar with the history of the fitness center itself recently married into military, but the turf room was once a basketball court. I’ve seen this done before see ‘Fitness Connection in Greenville, NC’ review and it typically works out well. Mgmt. was very creative, utilizing the ample space well, designing a turf area with several surrounding squat racks and deadlift platforms. On the perimeter, you’ll also find stationary bikes and assault treadmills, foam boxes and kettlebells throughout the gym. They offer modern dumbbells. Benches, weights and cable machines are also found in this room, although there’s a designated weight room inside the facility where you’ll find an abundance of exercise machines. There’s another room stuffed with cardio equipment and down the hall? Racquet courts. The restrooms are clean, nothing remarkable. Speaking of which, only the turf area stands out. Everything else looks grey, looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. This doesn’t exactly bother me, but it would make a difference to clean the walls, maybe add color? Anyway, the fitness center also has a concession stand, offering post-workout shakes. I haven’t tried one myself. :-P Overall, great gym and atmosphere! I am delighted to have found a great gym on-base!
Place is fine. It’s very far from where I work, and the pool has the weirdest hours that don’t facilitate alternative low-impact cardio options. They should have the pool more available, then it would be 5 stars.
Good gym but please extend your hours. It’s common knowledge people in the army work odd hours but the gym still closes at 8 pm on weekdays. Weekends is even worse, closing at 3pm is insane. Also get another leg extension machine please.
Nice gym with alot of equipment to use. Did my workout today and had fun.
Great gym with machine, racks, and cardio equipment. They also have turf to practice drags and carries, among other things. Obviously it's going to be chaos during PT hours, but it isn't too bad before and for the rest of the day. It picks up after work hours, but there is plenty of equipment to use that access isn't an issue. Definitely my favorite gym on post.
Workd class gym NEEDS AC. If the AC is not going to be fixed, at least invest in some of quality floor/ceiling fans. The troops deserve better.
One of the largest and best selection of free weights I've seen in the Army. Definitely part of my routine now.
Big improvement with the addition of the “CrossFit” section of the gym. Very nice facility.
The workout equipment and spaces are nice and all, but the locker room is disgusting and can use a renovation. The showers look like they are never cleaned, ceiling looks as if it’s falling apart, the sauna has been closed forever and there are still bits of toilet paper from a toilet that flooded around the bottoms of the toilet stalls that was never cleaned up.
