Needs better AC. Had plenty of weights and equipment.
I know this is supposed to be a MetCon type gym, but I think there is ample room to get some row machines in there. Needs cables. Otherwise, accomplishes what it means to. Tons of squat/deadlift/press racks. Overall a decent place. Staff is friendly.
This gym has everything you need if you like to do functional fitness. The one down fall to it, is it used to have assault bikes but they have been broken and not repaired yet. The pool is awesome too it is very popular so you have to get their early or just wait.
I have finally found the gym of my dreams! Perfect for the Military Crossfitter/Oly Lifter. This place has everything I could ask for and is very well maintained. I wish more military bases had Fitness facilities similar to Tucker. Every time I get to go there, I get a bit more excited about my workout.
Great crossfit like set up with multiple bars. They also have a ninja warrior obstacle set up, day use lockers bring your own lock, showers, a boxing set up bring own boxing equipment, NO sparring allowed and a turf lane.
this gym be straight fire. i used to be typical oh everyday is chest and arms day guy who go to gym that is full of typical bodybuilding equipment. then i tried this gym. it felt like this gym was totally empty nothing to do. then slowly i found more n more things to do. like that sled they have is super nice. so far ever since i started going to this gym i have lost so much weight and never been this cut ever in my life. weighted sled push sprinting, dips and pullups. sledge hammer. rope climbing. etc works your entire body. they also have all sorts of punching bags as well.
They have a free indoor salt water pool. Just resently switched to Active Duty only for access. This is because Atchley Pool is being renovated to be a year round facility, but will charge for access. Tucker Pool is being set up to be more geared for military readiness.
Great open area for main floor. Mostly squat and bench racks. Dumbbells in either corner. Large ninja warrior type thing in the middle with turf for springs and carry/pushes. Cardio room on other side with some more racks. A lot of space and great weights.
Tucker gym is a wonderful place to powerlift, cross fit, or just general weight lifting. It includes a large assortment of weights, kilogram and imperial, even dumbbells and platforms to lift on. It also has a few extra things such as a 25 yard pool and some punching bags
Awesome gym with a lot of functional equipment for use. Gets very busy during peak hours though. Pretty well kept too.
