From start to finish, our journey with this event space was absolutely amazing. The owner, in particular, deserves a special mention - he was an absolute delight to work with and played a crucial role in turning our dream Italian wedding into a reality. One of the standout features of The River Lounge is undoubtedly the food. It's clear that the owner and chef takes immense pride in serving top-notch cuisine. Each dish we tasted was not only delicious but also showcased high-quality ingredients and generous portion sizes. Our guests couldn't stop raving about it! What truly sets The River Lounge apart is their unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. The owner went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, meeting with us multiple times to discuss every detail and patiently addressing all our questions. Throughout the entire process, he treated us with the utmost respect and professionalism. The event space itself is nothing short of enchanting. The stonework arches and the soft, fairy-like lighting that graces the venue at night create a truly romantic and inviting atmosphere. It was a magical backdrop for our special day. ALSO, the owner just recently renovated their patio, and it's an absolute gem! It's not only beautiful but also incredibly spacious, overlooking the Rideau River. The panoramic view from the patio adds another layer of charm to an already wonderful venue. In all honesty, I'm so enamored with The River Lounge that I wish I could get married all over again just to have our reception there one more time!! Wheelchair accessibility: My mother uses a wheelchair and have no issues accessing the event space and patio. They have a nice accessible washroom as well.
Awesome little hotel, restaurant and wedding venue in the south end of ottawa. Beautiful patio, pool and outdoor bar. Would highly recommend.Food: 5/5
My stepdaughter was married and had her reception at the River Lounge last week. The food was delicious and plentiful, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere created on the patio and in the banquet room magical. Everyone had a great time. Marlon was gracious in offering options for the day within my stepdaughter's budget.
I cannot say enough positive things about this venue. It's unique and perfectly located off Huntclub and Prince of Wales. The management are super accommodating and friendly and are constantly coming up with great new events. Never a dull moment!Food: 5/5
Our wedding reception on May 21 2022 was amazing! Marlon and his staff did everything they could to make our reception happen despite the power outage. They brought in a generator to cook all of the food for the evening and brunch the following morning. We were even able to get the sound system working and strings of lights added to the ambiance! The food was amazing, flavours were delicious! All of our guests had a wonderful time!
I traveled from the states and stayed at the Ramada Inn for 4 nights. The food is excellent. The chicken parmesan and the Salt water salmon were my favorite meals. They taste as good or better than a 5 star restaurant. The staff was great as well. Paul is the best server/bartender and will make sure you feel right a home! Thank you River Lounge.!!!
Had a dinner event here. The BEST halal food in Ottawa. Amazing service and every single person I came in contact were the sweetest most loving people. Food-wise, nothing to say except cooked to perfection.
We came from Toronto for the Trillium Horse Show championship and we stayed at the Ramada Inn. Attached to the hotel is the River Lounge Restaurant. Great food and great service. We ate there every night and on the third night the owner set us up in our own VIP area and treated us like kings and queens. He had a light show set up for the children so they could have a dance competition. I recommend the steak and wedges. Thank you very much for your hospitality!!! 5 stars and we will be eating here again tomorrow night for our last night. Thanks again!!!
Twenty years ago we were married here while it was called the Pines. We came to have dinner and celebrate our anniversary and rediscovered this gem! Marlon the owner came to our table several times to make sure we had a great experience! The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! Compliments to the chef! We will be back!
Very much enjoyed this event venue when we attended for a friend’s wedding. Great vibe!
