Wonderful experience for my boys and myself. We did the white water tubing and had a blast. My boys are 14 and 11 and the rapids were no problem for them. We will definitely be going back. I would recommend upgrading to the deluxe tube with a paddle, it’s worth the money and would make the trip more enjoyable. I would also recommend taking your time, stop along the route, swim and enjoy the beautiful views. They pickup until around 6 or 7 so you have plenty of time. There is a beautiful waterfall at the end of the trip…Enjoy!
Flat water tubing: Great. Tubes were nice. Staff was great. We tent camped for two nights over the July 4th weekend. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our campsite on the river was beautiful. The store at the campground offers bare necessities ice, firewood, sunscreen. The trains at night, though, were just awful. There aren’t thick enough earplugs in the world that could make it possible to sleep through them at least 3 the first night and 2 the second night - during the legit middle of the night. It was a beautiful spot but I think we’re one and done because of the trains at least for camping.
We had a blast doing the zip line canopy tour. Our guides Ava and Tay Taylor were awesome. Their professionalism and sense of humor really made our whole experience so enjoyable. The group all really felt like a team moving through the tour. The energy was fantastic, and I truly appreciate the effort and courtesy extended to us the whole entire day by everyone we encountered. Afterwards, we did The Adventure Park and that was an absolute blast. Loved the challenge of the obstacles, and the way you can pick your own route. Again, from gearing up to going through the course all the staff had your back the whole way and made you feel at ease through every obstacle. Bravo River riders!
Very fun. We went river rafting for beginners. Fun little excursion with the family. Wouldn't recommend if your not use to a lot of physical activity and can't anchor yourself into the boat with one foot. Very steep hill at the end you must go over to get back on the bus. Easy to fall out of the boat, but very fun.
Had the best first-time zip lining experience today! Lee and Seth made the trip even better with their personalities and jokes. They made me feel safe/comfortable and helped with my fear of heights. Amazing views and good laughs. Highly recommend this journey for you! I will definitely be back! Thank you!
My brother was in from Spain, visiting. We wanted to do something that was fun and memorable. We decided on whitewater rafting. There are a number of companies which offer whitewater rafting. After doing some online research and talking with the locals, we chose River Riders. Two things sold us on River Riders, the locals spoke highly of River Rider's guides, and they have a private access to the river which is 2 miles closer to the rapids than the public access used by the other companies. This meant that the fun started almost as soon as we got on the water. The day was an event! Fun and adventure done safely were the operative words. The bus rides to and from the river were filled with corny jokes and stories. Our guide, Rhett, was very competent and knowledgable. The rafting trip was filled with laughter, adventure, hydrology, geology and history. This is a great trip for adults and families! Highly recommended!
Guided White Water Rafting: AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! Me and my partner went for her birthday and it couldn’t have been a better experience! Starting with the very fun and entertaining bus ride down to the river, the guides had EVERYONE cracking up with jokes and WV commentary! It really calmed the mood - this being our first time white water rafting, although we knew it’d be fun, it’s still a little nervous. BUT, the guides really changed that for us. We felt relieved and ready for the fun day ahead. Sarah was our raft guide and she was AWESOME!! She was a trooper though! Our raft had 7 people more than any of the other rafts that day, so we were pretty heavy going down the river. We got stuck a bunch, and somehow, Sarah ALWAYS managed to get us unstuck AND keep our spirits up and keep us pumped! Our raft did flip once, and everyone got wet and that was definitely something to remember the trip by.. It was PART OF THE EXPERIENCE!! Awesome time! Got to meet some other people enjoying the river also. When we do return in the higher water season, we’ll definitely go with River Riders again and hope that Sarah is there to guide us down again! So much fun! Great way to experience WV!
We went to the zip line for my grandsons 5th birthday party. He brought his 3older cousins, 5, 6 and 8. The staff that assisted abs instructed the children were very professional, warm, and helpful. They called the children by their names and were attentive to their needs. This was very reassuring considering that this was their first time. I have attached photos and videos. Don’t miss this class act!!
We went today on a spontaneous trip with another couple and we wanted to try river riders since we’ve gone through another local business for zip lining. Honestly, River Riders was better. The zip lining, the guides, everything. Seth, Victor and Bailey were so fun!! From the moment we got in the shuttle til the moment we got shuttled back. Best time ever for a Thursday. Perfect weather too! Our fave zip was def the one over the water, which was the reason we even booked in the first place. We def got our monies worth. Highly recommend the canopy tour and we’ll be back for river tubing when it warms up! If you see this, thanks guys. You made our day!
Such an awesome unique experience! The guides were very well trained. Indigo and George were very skilled and helpful. We had so much fun. Totally worth the price! Unforgettable!
