Wow! After 10 hours on the road, I drive into this campground on a rainy rainy day to a welcoming friendly soul that upgraded me to a cabin from a tent site!! How wonderful is that??!!! As it continued to rain, Chris proceeded to invite me to the community pot luck dinner and Bingo! How could I say no to that!!! Carrie did an exceptional job as running the Bingo despite technical issues! A wee hike after dinner between raindrops turned out to be beautiful!! Exceptional customer service and cabin was cozy and dry!! Bathrooms clean and well maintained! Would stay here again without a doubt!!! THANK YOU for all the hospitality Carrie and Chris!
We were lucky enough to book the cottage on very short notice same day after other travel plans fell through. Carrie was extremely helpful to get us booked and provide all necessary information for check in, she even delivered firewood before our arrival. The cottage was fully equipped with everything we needed, nothing was missing. We were greeted with a beautiful rainbow over the river shortly after arriving and a perfect sunset sky followed. I wish we had been staying longer than one night, we will definitely be back
Nice views, very affordable, new owner is very friendly and accommodating. We arrived very late 10 pm and she accommodated us! We have a 32 foot class C, making it in was a little hairy, would be hard for a larger rig to make it in. Services were great, pull through full service lot. Close enough to the trans canada!
Had a great visit. The owners were very accommodating and kind people. The campground itself was very clean and quite. Would definitely recommend and will return!
We only stayed one night on our trip from Manitoba to Nova Sctia but it was amazing. The owners are very friendly, courteous, helpful and accommodating. We had a great drive through site near the river. The seasonal campers that were there were also extremely friendly and helpful. Showers and washrooms were clean. Our dog, Katie, got a swim in before supper and then we all went for kareoke night. Very reasonable accommodation. Definitely would come back.
We stayed for a Mother / Daughter camp out. What a great time! Owners are very friendly and accommodating. We were all in tents and the weather was looking like lots of rain and thunderstorms, so we almost cancelled. Then Carrie Owner offered the Community Hall as back up for us to sleep in. Weather turned around and we ended up having the best weather! The River is sandy and wonderful, we brought River tubes and stayed there all day. We will definitely make this an annual camp out. Thanks again!
Very nice smaller very quiet and clean campground right on the Canaan River. Owners are super friendly. We stayed in a rustic cabin which had a double bed and a single bunk, fridge, microwave and toaster. Perfect spot for paddle boarding or kayaking. Highly recommend this spot.
Stayed here on our way to Nova Scotia. Very friendly and accommodating. The view is beautiful. We stayed here twice. On the way there and way back
Absolutely recommend!! We had a last minute vacation and it was close to closing time as the site said. I sent in an email request and because it was so close to end of day I called. I received the most welcoming call to arrange us to spend the night at last minute. Carrie was absolutely incredible I cannot praise her enough for her hospitality, warmness, caring, friendly, and kindest person I have met. We were tent camping and she provided us with a spot right on the water. We had our dog with us as well in which they had an older dog as well so they were able to play a little with one another. We then had issues and I wasn't able to leave at check out and Carrie had not only came to the rescue with her knowledge of the surrounding areas but also that extra bit of care and calmness that I needed in the moment. She called businesses for me as it was going to be that we needed new car key and can only be started with one.. she welcomed my daughter and I into her home and she made me feel so much better as a family or a friend of years would have during that situation. She let my daughter play with the kitten and let her ride on the go cart. Which she loved. It is a kindness I haven't experienced in years!! As I said I cannot praise them enough for the joyous experience they gave us. This campsite when we went felt more geared towards families and calmer people. As Carrie said she does a lot of organizing so as to maintain a harmonic balance but it was friendly and quiet all night and it was amazing. I truly recommend it and look forward to when they get their executive/honeymoon style camper up for rent. If Carrie is reading this; thank you again for everything. I hope you received the letter! Restrooms: They have a cabin that is a 2 bathroom with showers. And a pay washer and dryer. Rooms wrte so clean and the privacy and hot water were nice. Dog-friendliness: As mentioned as long as your dog is friendly or tied up the owners and fellow campers are very nice about animals Picnic area: Each site has a fire and table
We are new seasonal campers and could not have found a more inviting, welcoming place to call home for the summer! The owners, Chris and Carrie, are so helpful and truly want all of their campers to enjoy their stays, whether for a night or a full season. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. River views and easy access for kayaking and canoeing. Just a great spot!!
