I gave this campground a four only because we are seniors and do not partake in all the amenities. The price was a little steep. But if we took our children here years ago, this would have been a huge hit. Wow!! So many things to do for children. Their is a restaurant on site should you prefer to go out and not cook. The staff couldn't be more helpful and sweet.
We had a fun weekend camping at River’s Edge Campground. My kids loved the beach and playing on all the inflatables. The staff was so great to work with and even went out of their way to help us. We had a large group that wanted to play laser tag but all the slots were full. They opened up an additional slot for us and the kids had a blast! I had also forgotten a much needed ingredient taco seasoning for dinner and went to the camp store to see if they carried it. They were currently all out and one of the staff members gave me a packet from their personal supply. How generous. We can’t wait to camp again at River’s Edge.
Rivers Edge Campground, we stayed for 8 nights on site S63. When we arrived the spot wasn’t mowed, and it was covered in water. After 2 days of 80 or so degrees it finally dried out. The workers around the campground were mowing, we asked if we moved our stuff if he could mow. The worker stated that he couldn’t and he wasn’t used to the mower and didn’t want to hit our trailer. We had to go to the office the next day and ask for someone to mow. They came right down and did it. It rained all day the last day, The campsite was Saturated, the campsite next to us was the same way. It was a great campground and lots of stuff for kids to do, it will cost you!
Our daughter and sil have camper there. They love it and we really like visiting them there. It is quiet and relaxing. Lots for the teenaged grandkids to do while we relax.
Our favorite campground hands down! Won a free weekend off a Facebook giveaway and now we are looking to get on the waitlist for a permanent site. So much to do for both kids and adults
I just have to say out of all the campgrounds my family and I have stayed at this one was by far the worst hospitality by far. The minute we pulled up to the staff working at the entrance it felt like we were an inconvenience as they discussed if they were going to let us stay or not. We could clearly hear the conversation over the radio between the staff. Finally after being let in we were told to pull up to get our site number. Again, we felt unwanted due to the lack of service we received from the staff in the office. The only staff member that had a smile and was polite was a young girl behind the desk, couldn't have been over 16. After finally finding out where we could park our camper, we were told to go around a certain way yet the road was blocked by cones, when I asked the young man working he said he didn't know why it was blocked, so he moved the cone, let us through, and moved it back. Later when we decided to check out the restaurant we assumed it was ok to move the cone and go the way we came in. We were directed by staff to go one way then flagged down by staff not to, so we saw a vehicle pull out of a spot parked along the road on the grass so we took that spot, no longer then a minute the owner came flying at us screaming that we can't be there and we need to move our ********* vehicle. I have never been so mistreated at any site in my life, and never witnessed so many confused staff in my life, but yet it was our fault. All we wanted to do was grab a bite to eat. We will never be back. We even called the owner multiple times to discuss what happened, never a call back or anything. We spent a lot of money during that stay, but we will never be staying again. We have found so many nicer and accommodating campgrounds since, and are happy to spend our money else where.
Absolutely love it here. The staff is so incredibly nice and the atmosphere was overall amazing. I have never camped there, only been there for the pond, but the first day I ever went I felt as if everyone there was like a family and as if I have been there multiple times. Definitely recommend it here! And the food to AMAZING!
Visiting a friend. campsites were snug, and this was very much a social campground, as opposed to a quiet, nature kind of campground. Golf cart rentals are a nice perk.
So excited to be going on season 3 as a permanent camper at RiversEdge! Our family of 5, kids aged 6-11, love all our time spent here and count down off season days until opening weekend to see our camp family/friends again. From the pool and the pond with the inflatables to the fire truck and rainbow train rides to laser tag to the blinky parade to the live bands to the themed weekends especially all the Halloween ones! we are never bored of things to do!! The staff has been great and the owners are super cool. We see upgrades to the campground every year and just feel lucky to have found this gem.
Rivers Edge Campground Stevens Point is a great campground filled with fun things to do and great people. The campground features clean facilities, a new pool, large pond with giant inflatable toys and beach on the Wisconsin River. Golf carts, bikes and multiple activities are available for all. They also have a very nice bar and grill Bullheads featuring good drinks and food. The entire campground and restaurant staff are friendly and helpful.
