Overall I was just in over night from surgery. Nurses are great. Food was cold and nasty except for the chef salad
Two visits to the ER in one week. Most of the people there were great. Our nurses and doctor Krebs? were very kind and informative. The one man working the front desk was confused and sent us upstairs, only to be turned immediately back to the ER. The nurses on the maternity floor Julie, Sue, and others and doctor Hannah were all phenomenal. Their kindness and attention to detail are shining examples of amazing patient care. My only complaints were in the ER department where the bathrooms could have been cleaner, and it seemed every patient room had a stop with multiple broken wheels. Given the current situation in the Healthcare industry short staffing, and COVID-related challenges, I would say that the staff as a whole are stepping up and being amazing. Unfortunately, the problems that are present seem to be related to facility management.
Went in with a swollen thumb from an infection. And they lanced it open and WOW what an instant relief. Then after not having feeling in my hands for fifteen almost sixteen years, DAMN did the pain once again have to start

Checking in to the emergency room with a back injury that left me without the ability to use my legs, Mercy St Vincent Medical center REFUSED to Xray, REFUSED to MRI, and without any attempt at determining the severity of the injury, left me with a prescription for oxycodon and cyclobenzaprine, stating that despite the dangerous effects of the medication, said I could go back to work the following day. I'm sorry... approving work and oxycodon/cyclobenzaprine without even looking at the injury? You call this "medical care"? Don't bother sending a bill, St Vincent... YOU DID NOTHING and should have your doors locked for your epic lack of medical care and professionalism.
They have provided great emergency care for me on multiple occasions. I am grateful to live next to them and be close to quality care.
