If I could give NO stars I would. By far the worst experience I have ever had with a pharmacy. Supposedly they were compounding a medicine but there was no compounding at all, they gave me the bottle that came straight from the drug company. Was not covered by my insurance bc they could not be bothered to figure out how to do it properly. I paid $180 for a 2 week supply. Went to another compounding pharmacy who knew how to do it right and paid a $5 copay. Horrible.
They were able to get me my medicine which had been out of stock from all CVs pharmacies. I ve been looking for it for days till I called the pharmacist and got it for me.
Called in to inquire about an item, spoke to Ray, he stated they have that item. I asked if he has picture or brand name of the item, just to confirm if it is correct part for me. Apparently Ray felt it be a better idea if I came into the store and checked myself as it was too difficult for him to walk a few feet and let me know! Also, he stated to leave my phone number and someone “might” call me back on Monday to help me. Needed the part today. Can’t believe it. Seems they are doing me a favor for letting me buy from them.
they say they never received the prescription that was called in on 1/25 , my doctor has confirmation that prescription was sent at 2:56 PM on that day , today is 1/31 , now i have to pay over the cost because the insurance company needed pre authorization, also store opened 15 minutes late , and my son had to 2 hours more in the recovery room because of this , only positive about this pharmacy is staff is very friendly and polite .
Jacobson Pharmacy is far from your typical "mom and pop" pharmacy -- its a pharmacy that it's patients use consistently because it's pharmacists and it's staff make it more like a second family to come to -- to help you get better. It is not some foreign territory of mass amounts of space like those horrific 24/7 pharmacies where the people working there could care less what your name was, never mind how much insulin you took, but only if your prescription was "on time", covering their own behinds, over something as not controlled as insulin. Or filling your prescription, with or without insurance, --- and dare without, you will be paying hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Maybe thousands. At Jacobson's Pharmacy, a prescription in almost any variation of medications is affordable to almost anyone, especially someone you may have recently aged out of their insurance or is in between getting insurances due to the constant changing of careers being a young adult in New York. Jacobson main pharmacist, Greg, is the definition of a man who is compassionate, respectful, very knowledgeable -- a hard worker -- and who should be considered one of Mount Kisco's most caring men when it comes to his patients, the people he cures everyday -- whether it be a simple virus you must wait to pass, he, along with the rest of the staff, will let you know what items to purchase over the counter, or if it is something else like a controlled medication for anxiety, Greg and his team will in all actuality -help you- while remaining as professional as possible .. entirely unlike the people that work behind the counter at the well known other chain pharmacies, which we all know well, drive by, shop at, but do NOT trust getting our medication at. Why do we not get our medications from these shopping center/chain pharmacies do you ask? Because -- these large chain pharmacies, that are so very nearby us, are made up of the following: just another cold person, pharmacist or not, standing behind a counter, who because they care more about themselves, their job and their company and so very little about an actual person with an actual illness -- rather than help you they will make up some excuse, telling you to come back another time or day -- or worse, first they will give you a hard time, throwing numbers and dates at you that they won't explain to you and you do not entirely understand, only aware that you are feeling unwell and now unwelcome and they will not help. You know that Jacobson is a place full of hard working people that you can count on. Or if you are there in the pharmacy for a walker or a wheel chair -- they have nothing but the best and will spend an infinite amount of time with you until you are both comfortable and happy. I am pretty positive I have never seen anyone leaving big chain pharmacies happy, but every customer leaving Jacobson always leaves with a friendly goodbye and a smile on their face, which at times is so wonderful to see it amazes me. I cannot recall any pharmacy that is so superb at doing their job, which when it comes down to it, is helping people and making them well again. I know I can safely say that pharmacist Greg and the rest of the staff there have done just that for myself and my family any time we have gotten so sick. We want a pharmacy where the people trying to make us well are human and kind enough to know us by our names, -- by our doctors, medications, and are willing to do whatever is in their reach to make us feel well again all the while remaining as professional as can be. To be able to speak to us; explain to us things our doctors may not have. And that is exactly what Robert Jacobson Surgical Pharmacy does for it's patients. We all thank you all so much.
Jacobson's is like having a good neighbor who is always there to help you get what you need. I have been going to Jacobson's for over 20 years and I have never been disappointed. They are helpful, honest and fair and I go out of my way to get to their Pharmacy it is not the closest to my home. Thanks for being there for us!
Simply the best pharmacy around! Greg is attentive, knowledgeable and provides excellent service. Been a customer of Jacobson's for over 20 years and wouldn't consider going anywhere else.
Wonderful pharmacy! We were recommended by my orthopedic surgeon to be fitted for a compression stocking after a knee replacement. Maria was wonderful! She measured me and suggested the perfect size! Great service!
Today I was met with an incredibly rude person named Lyndia? During this epidemic, a pulse oximeter seems to provide an early warning for the disease. I went to purchase one. They said it was $50. I was then told they cannot get that one but they had one for $100. I agreed. Before purchasing , I looked up the item they were selling and it was $23 more than the manufacturer lists on its website. When I asked why, this rude person said if I want to HAGGLE, I have to talk to the owner. HAGGLE? They are charging 25% above list price! All did was ask why and I was accused of haggling? They can price gouge but get insulting when a customer asks why? Absurd!
Went in for a shower seat made by Drive they wanted 199.00 for a chair that I lookup on line found it for 100.00 on line. We try to give our business to locals but they should be ashamed to Mark product up like that. We will never go there again. Seem like they make a habit of this check your prices.
