First of all, the drive to this place is awesome! You have to cross many bridges and the route is very scenic. We paid $10 for the parking Field 5 and there is ample space even during weekends. There is a boardwalk from the main beach to the Fire Island lighthouse. The lighthouse closes by 3:30pm but the views outside are really beautiful too. The beach opposite the lighthouse is less crowded but equally good and has great waves. There is an amazing restaurant at this beach that serves drinks, food and ice cream, with several options to choose from. Restrooms and shower areas are right beside this restaurant. There is also a paid pedi cab service, located at the parking lot to take you to Kismet. It is not very easy to cycle near this beach as cycles aren't allowed on the boardwalk and the other paths are too gravelly. Overall, we loved this beach! It is perfect for a relaxing afternoon on a hot summer day.
A very serene and tranquil beach. It’s very clean, not as crowded as other Long Island beaches. There is ample parking with clean restrooms and concession stands. Great for walks or just spend the day in water or sunbathing. You can walk all the way to the Light House at Fire Island and beyond walking on this beach. We love walking here.
Robert Moses field 4 is our favorite field. The beach is clean, beautiful, has accommodations and plenty of awesome lifeguards watching over! It is definitely the Field to check out! Whether you swim, sunbathe or just read a book, you will enjoy your day at the beach. Long islands very own gem!

Great beach with plenty of space for all. You can either be up close to the waves or hang back by the dunes and enjoy the best beach on Long Island. They have facilities, and up at the concession, you can grab a cold drink!
One of the cleanest beaches in the United States. I have visited so many beaches in the United States, but didn’t find that many clean beaches except Virginia Beach, and this particular beach. Due to Canadian wildfire we got less people over there and we enjoyed the beach very early in the morning. We collect some dead shell as a token. overall kids enjoyed it a lot.
We always have a great time and it’s one our favorite LI state park/beaches. We went to Democratic Point. Be aware that at times there are a lot of flies and they will bite. Unfortunately this day we took the RV & we had to leave due the large amount of flies biting us.
We spend the whole day here barbecuing and having some fun. Although it is late summer, the water is a bit cold. Some of the sections are surfing and swimming friendly as others don’t have life guard, so make sure you chose the right section to go to. Pets are not allowed. The beach is NOT CROWDED at all. The sun set is gorgeous. Restrooms: There is a large bathroom at the center of all sections. Relatively clean considering it’s a public bathroom. No weird smell. Picnic area: For all the sections there are all a barbecue area at the very right. Not packed, kinda far from the bathroom though. It is essentially a section of the beach outlined by a wooden fence.
Beautiful day to go to the beach, was a little windy but nothing crazy. Love to park and walk to the lighthouse always a easy way to clear my head. Walked even a little further to kismet for my first time
It is ok beach, really crowded for a wednesday in July it was hot though.a lot of kids and teenagers, parking costs $10 per car. Restrooms: Public restroom Picnic area: It s beach, i like that every hour a public employee empty the trash on the beach, i wish people use it and not throwing trash on nature
