Colonoscopy was horrible!!! I felt like I was on a cattle farm being herded through a process. This was my fourth colonoscopy and this was the first time that I felt the procedure and was aware of what was going on. The Anesthesiologist obviously didn’t give me enough anesthesia intentionally or unintentionally. I have a high tolerance for pain, so I got through it!!! Out of all of the Colonoscopies that I have had this was by far the worst. Typically you go in, you’re given the anesthesia and the only other thing that you remember is someone waking you up in recovery. I was awake coming back to recovery and watched all others as they were fast asleep being herded back through the assembly line. I mentioned to the Dr. Dr. Platovskythat I was fully aware of what was going on during the procedure she casually blew me off and wanted to tell me that some people get the procedure without anesthesia and I told her that “I would never knowingly do that”!!! She laughed !!!! I informed her that I didn’t think that it was funny!!! She turned on her heels, walked away and went through a door that probably led to next up in the cattle line. This was not at all what I expected, based on the initial consult . I will never recommend this doctor for a Colonoscopy.
This was my second time I went for my follow up procedure. My first visit several years ago was uneventful and thought this one will be a replay of the last time! My recent visit the front desk and screener was very welcoming, warm and kind. However, the nurse that I was assigned Dorothy lacked basic bedside manners. I told her that I’m a hard stick and immediately she walked away and got another nurse to “find my veins” without saying to me she’s going to get someone whom can find my veins. After several sticks by other nurses and the anesthesiologist no one could find a vein to start my IV! I’m extremely alarmed that a surgicenter does not have the resources to accommodate patients with tiny veins and are dehydrated and was sent home without having the procedure done! You would think they have additional equipment to help locate tiny veins, a warmer, etc. I’m awfully disappointed that after 2 days of rigorous prep my procedure was not done! I will not be going back to that facility !
As a person waiting for a patient, it has been a terrible experience. My husband was told to be here at 10:45 and I am still waiting for him. 3 hours later. No one calls you to let you know anything. I have watched 10+ cars come and leave with their patients. Since my husband had coloncancer last year, I am extremely anxious. I have called them several times but get a run around The place closes in 30min what is going on They need to be more efficient when scheduling these procedures and don't overbook
I went here for an endoscopy. Linda was the warmest and most compassionate nurse I've ever had, and she walked me through the process before the procedure. This was my first medical procedure ever done with anesthesia so I was very scared but Linda was very patient and sweet and I just wanted to say thank you again...also Dr. Costa was great too. Only complaint I have is that I wanted my boyfriend to come to the recovery room to visit me I had the nurses know before I went under as well as during recovery and was ignored. Also I was woken up too quickly and was too dizzy to walk properly so after walking to the waiting room I had to go back to the recovery room for a few more minutes to rest. Otherwise, I had a great experience and would highly recommend this center.
This was my first procedure here. Linda was awesome. Compassionate and thorough. The rest of the staff was good too. When I woke up I was sent to the restroom to dress. While I’m there the doctor was waiting impatiently outside the door to talk to me. My husband was supposed to come back to be with me for that, but he wasn’t brought back. The doctor said I have spasms in my colon and to eat more fiber. I told him that I do, but I could tell he didn’t believe me. I felt that Dr. Plumser was rude and dismissive. Not happy with him at all.
RWJ Endo surgical Center is phenomenal. I have been here many times and have always gotten the respect that someone should. The staff is very caring and very cautious about your medications and condition. The staff is very comforting about your procedure.. I highly recommend this facility . I have been to many surgical centers, and this one is the tops for cleanliness, caring staff, and ease of access. Your appointment time, us your appointment time and there is no additional wait. I have no financial stakes in this facility.. 5 stars.
I went to see them about a frequent burping sometimes liquids and the doctor suggested doing an endoscopy, saying it was a fairly quick test. What they didn't say it bother checking was how much insurance would pay they used a lot out of network people which made the ~1hr procedure cost $1,500. They found "no issues" but failed to follow up with any reasons why I had this burping or the potential complications. Now almost 2 years later, I still have it on and off and based on my own "googling" think it's GERD and/or acid reflux. Which I just connected with why I had some many mouth/teeth problems in my last dentist visit last month and now another cavity. The acid leads to other issues like weakened enamel and tooth decay.
The ONLY place to go! From the moment you walk in until you leave you are comforted and treated with kindness and first rate professionalism. They are thorough and care. They are grateful for your "business". Dr. Platovsky is FABULOUS. She listens. Takes her time and CARES.
I’ve been here twice now and both times the nurses were just amazing. They’re all so sweet and attentive. Thank you to all the nurses who helped me with my visits there seriously you ladies are awesome!
Had many procedures there it’s very clean and staff is great
