Upping my rating from 4 to 5 It's a lovely park with a little river running through it. We only get to see it during Arts & Apples at which we are exhibitors. Excellent show by the way I think I only took a video which I don't know if I can add to a review, but my favorite spot was a little staircase of large rock stepping stones down to the creek. I kicked off my flip flops and baptized both my feet! Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome EXCEPT during events They put up big signs about that during Arts and Apples, but we still saw some dogs.
I love this park. It is big and beautiful. I love to splash in the river on summer days. A lot of events are held here. It is totally free. There are plenty of free parking lot. Hicking/biking/walking paths. Dogs friendly. There are 2 playground areas a little bit old, but the kids have fun just as much. There are restrooms available in 3 different spots. Drinking water fountain available. There are plenty of ducks. Walking distance from Rochester downtown.
Beautiful Paint Creek Trail....l love the atmosphere here and never too crowded for parking. Too many bike riders on the trail though. That may depend on the time of the day or week. Playground: Looked cleaned Dog-friendliness: People walked a lot of pets
Go-to for a quick trail run either Clinton River way or Paint Creek. Start with an amazing brunch, stroll around any trail till sunset and then go for a nice dinner around the area or just pick a book, snacks and have a nice picnic watching ducks.
Beautiful and scenic park near the Rochester downtown area. Lots of place for playground. Kids would like it. Small lake with river flowing in through middle of the park. It has both concrete and mud trail. Waiting to see this place when it become more beautiful in summer.
Great place for a long run >10 miles, you have many options as Paint creek trail towards Clinton Rivers. Easy Parking and very nice landscape, surroundings.
Beautiful park, but: PLASTIC EROSION MESH being used along the banks of the Paint Creek? I have heard that plastic mesh simply breaks down into microplastics which go straight into our wetlands and great lakes. Environmentalists would say that this is city government disconnecting with the realities of our use of oil plastic, taxpayer dollars being used to pollute our environment. Will our democratically elected institutions for once act in accordance with science and ethics?
Booked the pavilion, picked up keys for the serving room, set-up the grills and the other food, set-up the games and had an AWESOME time! Great place for family, friends or work picnics. The park itself is very pretty. It has play structures and swings etc. Trails and plenty of room to play frizbee/ cricket etc. I saw restrooms close by as well.
Try the park for a relaxing ambience, with young children in a safe environment and families of ducks patiently awaiting morsels from visitors. Playground: Safe, sturdy, varied, with rubberized flooring. Please keep your dogs in the appropriate areas
Perfect for a date or for a day at the park. There's plenty of Pavillion covered picnic tables and scattered ones throughout the park. Public restrooms and plenty of open space if you wanted a blanket picnic. There are trails for walkers and bikes. Lots of dogs and multiple playgrounds. Also there are a few spots on the creek with access to dip your feet or let your dog do so if your into that. Playground: Multiple playgrounds at the park near entrances. Large enough for a good amount of kids. Restrooms: Restrooms and drinking fountains are available. Dog-friendliness: Lots of dogs there. Make sure your dog has their tags up to date. I think there is a restriction on breed. Picnic area: Lots of areas for large and small groups. You can rent pavilions or just first come first serve if they aren't reserved.
