I attended with my daughter's field trip which only cost me $5 to park with no admission fee. There are items you can buy there with cash or venmo. A lovely historic site on a lake. Nice venue for a wedding and those in the wedding party were very appreciative of the staff who helped. I was surprised and glad that they had closed this park to the public for this smallish...200 .... wedding. So, it may not be inexpensive, but it was perfect. Lovely landscaping and on a lake. The wedding was held out on the grounds with the backdrop of an old well preserved historic home. The reception, dinner and dance was held in a pavilion that had plenty of room. So....if you're considering an event, I'd encourage you to look here.
Pretty cool place to see. Didn't do the tour, but did explore the grounds. Some awesome pics and views of the Cumberland River.

Canyon our tour guide provided our family a great experience. He took the time to answer all our questiins. Great part of american history that can easily be overlooked. This is the home Daniel Smith the surveyor and his family and their contributions to the history of Tennessee. His ties with Andrew Jackson and Sam Adams. Thanks again.
Song Writers series has to be the best value for world- class entertainment in the world. Beautiful setting, amazing artists, family atmosphere. Amazing!
The place was beautiful, but the person giving the tour was giving a very selective take on history. Don’t let your children take the tour alone otherwise they’ll be indoctrinated not educated.
