Johnny Cash was an amazing musician! Never knew he had so many singles and albums. He is a true legend of Country And Gospel music. He loved his June Carter... Great museum, lots of things to very and listen to about him and his life.. fascinating. Would return again...
Little over priced for the small size of the Museum. Some good reading in there to look at and take photos of. The Patsy Cline museum above is even smaller, unless you have a heart tied a Patsy Cline I’d save my time. The cafe was ok until we found a long brown hair at the bottom of the beans… until that point we enjoyed the day. But the POP tech music was up to loud and the chicken a bit dry. The museum didn’t give a military discount but the restaurant did. The guys hat on backwards to the side that brought my food out didn’t look to happy to be there or say anything when putting the meal on the table. We love Johnny Cash, this is a one and done thing for me. The gentleman taking the tickets is the only one that should be getting paid in there. He explained a great deal to us. Just being honest.
It's a small museum but it has a nice flow. There are lots of items to check out! It's very reflective, so picture taking is a challenge. The music is great There were a few items from Roy Orbinson and Jerry Lee Lewis too! It was so much fun, we'll do it again!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$21–30
This is a must for any Johnny Cash fan. LOTS to see! I wish I could have touched some of the items like his bible as everything was in a case. How wonderful it would have it been to hold the Bible belonging to one of my inspirations! But seeing it was just fine. Really great details, lots of rare items you wouldn’t expect to see, and the interactive features were neat. You could watch live performances, and more. Learned a lot about the Man In Black. The guy who took our ticket was a cool dude, genuinely friendly. It’s a small museum, got a little cramped at times but the content made up for it completely! Will go back to learn more about the Man in Black!
The museum was small but loved all the information about Johhny Cash as well as all his personal drawings and experiences. It was great to see the collection and learn more about him.and his life. I loved the section that talked about the Million Dollar Quartet as well seeing Jerry Lee Lewis's jacket.
Amazing little museum. As a fan of Johnny Cash, it was definitely interesting to learn about his origins and see his famous stage costumes and boots. Tickets were approx $20 each and they do allow for a student discount too. The girls at the reception were absolutely lovely and one of them even complimented my dress. Definitely worth a visit to learn about this country legend.
I had a great experience here. I share a birthday with Johnny Cash so I made sure to go on my birthday. There was no wait to get in. It is self-guided and they give you a brochure before you go in that has a guide in it. There's lots of really cool artifacts in there from Johnny Cash. I learned a lot more about him than I knew before. We were in here for maybe an hour.
It's fine. I don't think it was worth the price tag but it had a good amount of Cash's things and information about his life. It is small, and a good portion of it is just like, recordings and his acting and some artists who covered his songs. Try to come when there's less people or else you'll just be standing while someone takes 800 pictures. Definitely a tourist trap, with an overpriced gift shop outside.
Not a huge Johnny Cash fan, but still a cool and quick museum to get through. Maybe a little overpriced, considering it wasn't very big. Really interesting place to learn about him and his music.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$21–30
If you are a Johnny Cash fan or music history buff, you have to visit! The museum covers his story from childhood through his entire career. Many notes and even display labels were written by Mr Cash himself, lending a very personal feel to the curating. The only thing I didn't like is that the tablets with music samples had headphones attached that I chose not to share. Allowing an app with the music samples or use of personal headphones would be preferred.
