My engine overheated on the 80 fwy so I pulled over to call AAA and I was told a tow truck would be there within 120 min at the most. Five minutes later Rocklin’s Officer Bolen pulled up behind me and I explained what happened and how long it would take for a tow. He said he could get one dispatched much sooner and placed the call. He also stayed to make sure I would be safe on the side of the freeway. I felt so well taken care of and appreciate everything he did to help me. Thank you Officer Bolen and Rocklin PD!
We had an incident that required the Rocklin Police to come to our home. The Officers were excellent at explaining the details, handling the incident with professionalism and having empathy as well. I was so pleased and felt comfortable with them in my home. I feel remiss that I didn't get their names from their badges. The main Officer that we communicated with really stood out to me as being an excellent resource for the Rocklin Police Department. Thank you very much.
On New Year's Eve I was stopped by a Rocklin Police Officer for a suspected traffic violation. The officer was extremely polite and warned me regarding the suspected violation. Even more important, I suspect the officer was making traffic stops looking for D.U.I. drivers. I was happy to be stopped and really appreciate Rocklin PD's efforts to remove D.U.I. drivers from the roadway. Thank you folks.
I was just dropping off some donations for people affected by the Camp Fire, and I know Rocklin PD pretty much ALWAYS helps with wildfire things. I like that about them, that they seem nice and friendly, because honestly not all police are so... Nice to people on the Autism Spectrum. Not that I really did any talking, but I appreciate not feeling more awkward than I usually do in New places. Plus, harsh lights and new places always are terrible, but this place is okay!!! They use recessed lighting, I didn't see any florescents, and I'd feel comfortable going here again if I had some kind of a problem, and DEFINITELY I'll be back for other donations they do! It's a fancy building, there's nearby Pokestops, and I don't know if it was the landscaping crew or something nearby, but there was a funky odor outside. I don't even know what it was but it was funky. Other than that, I'm glad these guys are here and I'm REALLY glad to say I feel safe there! I mean, that's what a police station should feel like, right? Right!
I called Rocklin police department to check on a homeless man that was going through our garbage cans. I observed the individual actually pulling discarded mail from the garbage bags and putting them in to his back bag. I told the dispatcher of what I had seen and a description of the homeless person. The dispatcher stated it was not illegal to dumpster dive and no one was going to come out. This is wrong of the department and they should be ashamed. When a concerned citizen sees suspicious activity and reports it. The police need to come and investigate. Who knows what that guy took and will do with the mail he has taken. The Rocklin police department has yet again provided another reason to not trust them since they can not or will not do their jobs.
I am an Eagle scout thanks to this PD, and am very grateful for their help. With their help, I made 2 benches and a turtle habitat for my Project, and they were very cooperative and compassionate towards myself, and every one I met held the spirit of enthusiasm and I hope to work with them again. These are great people! I dont think one specific person should affect your view on an entire department, for I know the majority of them care about where they are and what they do.
On October 11th, 2018, I was returning from dropping my kids to school at 7:50am, when a Rocklin Police officer D.GROFF on a motorcycle that was sitting on Westmeath, pulled me over for not stopping at a Stop sign in my neighborhood at Westmeath and Lookout Pass Way. I parked on my driveway, the officer D.GROFF asked for my Drivers License, I told the officer D GROFF it was in my house, because I went to drop my kids to school, and left it at home, usually my purse is always in my car, I was in a rush that morning. He wrote me up for a ticket for not having my drivers license on me, after he checked my insurance and registration, and looked up my drivers license he asked for my RIGHT THUMB PRINT?. AT THIS POINT HE STILL HASN’T ISSUED ME A TICKET, I STILL DON’T UNDERSTAND THAT? He then ran and followed me into my home and physically assaulted me, entered my home without my permission, without any cause, Officer D.Groff violated me, he used excessive force, grabbed my arm, I have pain and soreness from this... the officers D.GROFF glove came off as he was attacking me, with the amount of force he used on me, HE THEN DRAGGED ME AND pushed me out from inside of my home AND INTO MY GARAGE, WHICH IS WHERE HE STOOD with me a few feet away, INSIDE MY GARAGE, He never had a reason to do this to me, HIS CONDUCT of manhandling me was a disgusting display of law enforcement behavior. While this was happening my husband was on the phone and heard the whole altercation as it was unfolding, this is complete abuse of authority and DUE process. My 20 yr daughter was home and witnessed the assault also. My husband then called Rocklin PD, that I was being harassed, a Sergeant was sent out, ERIC DOLLAR. I spoke with the sergeant asking him about the misconduct of his officer, the sergeant ERIC DOLLAR said that there’s no law against an officer having a full conversation about my PERSONAL information with strangers on the street who were asking what was going on, because its public information already, he had nothing to say about the conduct of his officer assaulting me either, so any random person driving by deciding to be nosy can be told about my citation by the ticketing law officer? My personal information given freely out to people I don’t even know??. I can be assaulted in my own home for no reason!?? This is total lack of professionalism on both officer Dan Groff part and Sergeant ERIC DOLLAR. I witnessed D.GROFF speaking with someone because I was standing right behind D.GROFF on my driveway, a neighbor that I don’t know, that lives up the street drove up as this is all happening in a 2 door dark silver Honda Accord or Civic, D.GROFF then proceeded to tell this same stranger how I was a horrible driver and shared my personal information with him, I don’t even know this person, he also shared the information about why I was pulled over, that neighbor then proceeded to stay parked in front of my house and stared at me directly for a while taunting me, harassing me, trying to intimidate me, WHILE D.GROFF STOOD NEXT TO THE CAR doing nothing which i felt was total neglect of his duty. The two seemed to know each other. I feel traumatized by both these people and their actions, I don’t feel safe anymore in my own home and neighborhood. I feel I was singled out for harassment, and threats because I’m a different race, and one of the few colored people who live here in Rocklin. I was still underdressed when this all happened in the morning, I had no jacket on, D.GROFF then finally writes the ticket AND I SIGNED IT, then HE WOULDN’T HAND ME MY YELLOW COPY, HE WAS HOLDING ME HOSTAGE ON MY OWN PROPERTY outside. I ASKED HIM REPEATEDLY WHY WAS HE NOT GIVING ME my COPY, HE KEPT IGNORING ME, what reason did he have to conduct himself in such a unprofessional manner,? This sort of behavior is scary, unpredictable, and unstable of a law officer.
accidently forgot to place muy handicap placard came in from New Mexico after a long ride and needed the ladies room, so I ran up to use it as cane down to find a ticket. Gratefully after speaking with the office and explaining my situation he forgave my ticket. great officer! thank u Rocklin P.D.
My dog likes to go on adventures when the back gate is not properly shut. On his last escape, he lost his tags and he is not microchipped. Apparently, he will also get into the car with any random stranger. I've talked to him about the dangers of this, but he doesn't listen. This morning was one of those mornings. Since I've had to bail him out before, I tried calling the Rocklin Animal Control to see if they'd come across him. I spoke with Sabrina and she was amazing. She let me know she would put out an APB on old Bubby and took my information should they run into him. She called me back less than 5 minutes later telling me she thinks she found him on Facebook..she emailed me a screenshot and it was him. My Bub had jumped into the car of a stranger almost 3 miles away and that stranger took him to Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic. Needless to say, I have his appointment to get microchipped next weekend. Thank you kind stranger and thank you Sabrina for helping bring Bubby home......again.
Officer Gee and Officer Sartain are amazing. These officers have assisted me on a few calls in the past month due to an incident here at the home and they both have been incredibly helpful, sincere, comforting and kind. You can tell these officers care about their community 100%. Thanks officer Sartain and Officer Gee
