Love this dog park! Sitting areas and shady areas make it comfortable. And the small dog park is just as long as the big dog park, so they have plenty of room to run around a explore! Poop bags and water fountain available outside of the fenced area.
Especially for small dogs, this is great same size as big dogs so they can run… a lot of small dog areas are just small afterthoughts for dogs to sniff versus run around. They have two separate fenced areas, and although some people prefer dog parks with more of a forest/trees vibe like in Wethersfield, this is just a nice flat open grass area where there aren’t any bugs or “weird” things. I can only say this for the ~5 times I’ve been there, but I’ve always been there with a perfect number of dogs 3-8… no science or math there, just my general thought.
Very very nice visit! There are baggies there to clean up. We brought out own but it was so nice there was some there. Actually I believe there was 2. And both were full with bags for clean up. Everyone there was very friendly. All dogs seemed to love each others company. There are benches throughout so you can sit if youd like while dogs play. There is also a very nice bulletin board there with information on adoption dog walkers all sorts of little things
My favorite Dog park of all the others in the area, clean well kept grass, water fountains, plenty of space for them to run in. Great environment all around, other dog owners are friendly and you always see a variety of dogs there.
Best dog part in the Hartford area. I drive 30 minutes from West Hartford to go to this dog park instead of a closer dog park such as Paw Meadow. Always a bunch of dogs for my dog to play with, and they have a drinking fountain for you and your dog. They also have plenty of benches for you to sit on. The grass is well kept and the area is large enough for the dogs to run around with each other.
Come here often. Grass needs to be mowed more. We have 2 little dogs. Big dog entrance should be separated somehow from little dog side. People with aggressive dogs should not bring. Big dog side has had a number of dog fights. Most people pick up there dog poop but others just leave it for you to step in. Both sides have plenty of room for dogs to run and play. Both our dogs and us have made many new friends for life. Benches need to be updated. Overall a great time.
Great park. Lots of room to run, clean, and well maintained. Plenty of benches and a convenient water fountain. Two separate areas for large and small dogs. Two layered gate for entrance and exit to prevent accidental escapes. Definitely a good places for pups to play.
Clean and well-kept plenty of parking friendly dog environment. Nice size small dog and big dog sides. Belton water fountains for the pooches. And restroom available.
It was puppy's first time at a dog park, so I was a little nervous as to how he would do with other bigger dogs. But it went great! The area was large and open and very clean. All the dogs there were very playful and friendly, and my pup took to them right away. It seems like the park is well maintained and the town makes sure the dogs going there are licensed and vaxxed.
Big open space for my dog to run. There are usually dogs there, which is good as my girl is an only child. Love that it's grassed instead of mulched. Filled water bowls everywhere which I believe are filled by visitors as I've seen people arriving with big jugs of water - I'll need to start contributing, nice trees and benches, and poop bags! The only downsides are that some people don't pick up after their dogs and there are holes dug that can be a tripping hazard.
