She is a judgmental ussr mentality doctor. Switched. Front staff and assistant are outstanding!

I moved to the Island and I choose dr Romashova right away. From my personal experience, prior, I was working in cardiology office in Brooklyn and we saw Dr Romashova patients and what I noticed, that all patients had proper referrals, recent blood work, other tests, and whenever you call their office to get paperwork faxed when the patient is by our office, they faxing it asap. And also after visits, dr Romashova office Always will call to follow up on their patients the same day and to get the results sent to them. That means they care and organized. My visit to dr Romashova was excellent, I did wait maybe around 20 min to see her, front desk and medical assistants was great and really accommodating. Dr Romashova is straight to the point! What I appreciate in doctors. She listen to all my concerns, gave me referrals and explained to me where we going and general care plan. I am glad I did a right choice.
I have been seeing this doctor for years and I like her very much! She is definitely very thorough, attentive and always compassionate. You do not feel like another conveyor item in her office, you feel like a person who is treated like a human patient, with care. The office staff is always friendly and responsive. Frequently there are long wait times, especially if you come on the weekends, evenings, during flu season and other times when there is a large influx of patients. It is a one doctor practice, so she is doing the best she can! However, if you schedule an appointment in advance, try to schedule first thing in the morning and you will not wait very long. If you got sick and need an unscheduled visit, you may call them and ask when they are not overly busy and can squeeze you in without a very long wait. While I did couple of times wait for 2 hours, most of the times, I am in and out of there in less than an hour. I highly recommend this doctor. If you are the kind of person who is always on the run and need fast paced office, where you can be in and out in 15 minutes, look for a physician who allots 5 minutes per patient and does not take their time to truly listen.
I was just recently a first time visitor and came to Dr. Romashova for an annual check up. I'm an adult thats still terrified of doctor's visits, but everyone here was so warm, friendly, and understanding. The front desk staff is very nice and efficient; they speak Russian and perfect English. I didn't have to wait long at all and was seen by Dr. R shortly after I arrived. She was very caring, thorough and did not rush. Most doctors see you for 2 min and then you barely have enough time to talk about your concerns. She made sure I was comfortable and answered all my questions. I didn't get the name of her assistant, but she was absolutely lovely and helped calm my nerves when it was time to take my blood. Overall, I would highly recommend this office and will be actually looking forward to my next visit instead of dreading it. Office is also very clean and they provide hand sanitizer at the front desk. A+ experience!
Anyone who is considering this physician should be warned! If you do not fit the profile of the staff & physicians perspective of the ideal patient then be prepared to be spoke. Down too and be the hot topic of gossip and jokes in the office! Privacy doesn’t exist in this office as they take your weight on a scale in the main walk way of the office in front of other patients and make comments while you are standing there. Don’t be too soft and have a strong self esteem as they will belittle you about your size and how you look!! Not everyone was born with the supermodel figure and shouldn’t be discriminated against because of it! If you are a curvy individual look elsewhere cause this ain’t the medical office for you!
Worst experience ever! The front desk was very rude. I arrived on time for my appointment, but the front desk asked me to wait outside in the freezing temperature despite the fact that they had only 3 patients in the office! The office could take at least 3 more people. After waiting for more than hour in the car, I called the front desk to know when I am going to be seen, he did not even apologize for the delay and said I am going to be next in line so I waited for another 20 minutes but he never called me back to come to the office, so I went in and canceled the appointment and left. What a unprofessional disrespectful people! no regards or respect for people's time. Never going there again
Like to read reviews, writing them not so much. Prior to attending the office saw negative reviews, almost canceled appointment, glad I didn’t. Doctor was down to earth and very normal. Visit was good and everything was on point.
Dr: Romasova is a wonderful physician. Sure the wait can be up to an hour but patients are taken by appointment time. Does anyone have a doctor who sees you exactly at your appointment time? The Doctor is very thorough and is a good listener. I never feel rushed out the door. Im also happy my blood drawn in office; no lab appointment, follow up in one week. Also,all her staff may not wear "scrubs" but what they wear has nothing to do about how her office runs. a shout out to Alex, Dimitri, Igor, front desk. Thank you, PA's .
Long wait !!! The Doctor doesn’t even deserve one star , she is very rude and makes everything difficult . Her staff is unprofessional . You get the feeling that they are not there to help you but to pull as much money as possible from your insurance. i went there 3 times and i will never go there again !!!!
