Rooster Cafe has always served delicious breakfast. Love that they have different potato options, almost all breakfast joints opt for one style of potato. Price is very reasonable compared to many others whose breakfast plates are nearing $20. They have also fixed the no parking situation since last I've been there. Before parking was a mission to find but they have added more. It's a great place for breakfast if you are in Costa Mesa!

This is the ultimate "mom and Pop "café, just open from 7 AM to 3 PM and serving breakfast all day. Their menu is quite extensive and everything is cooked to order and served hot off the stove! They also have an espresso machine and will make you virtually any type of coffee you like. This is my third visit and each time I am not disappointed with the amount of food and the quality of food served. The prices are very reasonable and nothing is more than $10-$15 on the menu. The owner is frequently here and is most charming! A steady client streams through the door, with regulars being greeted like old friends. Highly recommended if you are in the area, just off the interstate and across from America's Tire so a great place wait for your service to be completed. Enjoy!!

Food was very good! But when I ordered I forgot to order a pancake so I ordered it with the 33 dollar order I had before already paid the pancake was 85 cents after tax and she still had me pay for it. I know it’s not much money but I already paid 33 dollars which is a good price for what I ordered but it was under a dollar which she could have been a little generous with. So I give the food 10/10 and the staff 6/10 and the price 8/10.

Got the breakfast burrito with Portuguese sausage. Nothing stood out making it special. It wasn't bad but it wasn't something I'd recommend. The burrito lacked flavor really. If you like breakfast burritos this place isn't for you.Food: 3/5

I have lived down the street from Rooster Cafe for 6 years. Every time I go the food is great and the service is great. Highly recommend for breakfast or lunch.

Great little breakfast spot right across the street from the Lab. Found it on When looking for a quick bite close to SNA. It hit the spot in many ways. Quick ordering at the register. Get your number and find a table outside or inside; but why inside when it’s gorgeous out It looked really crowded but despite the tables being full we got our food super quick. The Elvis special was awesome and so was the special breakfast burrito. When asked bacon or sausage or both, the answer is always a resounding both. Definitely will come back here again. Friendly service Great good. And decent prices.

Extremely busy which means everyone should try. Menu was big so it was hard to pick just one thing. Don't plan to be in a rush... "Patience Grasshopper" food is delicious. And they have Mimosas = yum!
