Specializing in awesome tacos and craft beer, we offer inventive, globally inspired tacos and sides made with fresh ingredients prepared from scratch every day. Executive Chef Carlos Anthony applies traditional cooking methods and techniques, while building on the inventive style of cuisine that put Taco Asylum on the map.
Our own unique tortillas, marinades and sauces are made in-house and from-scratch, using only the freshest ingredients, sustainable meats and seafood, and products from local farms and vendors wherever possible.
We offer six varieties of craft beer on tap and 30+ canned beers. Guests may also enjoy housemade aquas frescas and a unique selection of all-natural bottled sodas, many of which are handcrafted in small batches. They help put out the heat from our homemade HOT sauces.
Vibe
The 50-seat restaurant has an industrial feel with unfinished concrete flooring, exposed ducting, hanging industrial wire-caged miner lights, reclaimed wood walls with rusted copper accents. Unfinished reclaimed wood tables feature metal shop stools. Soft banquet seating and barstools are offset with galvanized plumbing pipe supports.

Open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Taco Asylum is located at The CAMP (2937 S. Bristol St, B102, Costa Mesa, CA 92626), between Native Foods and SEED People’s Market. Happy Hour runs 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday. All food and non-alcoholic items are conveniently designed for carryout. Taco Asylum will offer its entire food menu for carryout.
