Upon my arrival I walked in and was not greeted at all. Shatara is very rude. It took her awhile to even acknowledge me and my mother standing at the window because she was too busy on her cell phone. Wow isn't that a violation of HIPPA to have your phone out while you are checking patients in. She really needs a new attitude at the front desk. As far as the nurses they do there job but that front desk is what really makes this facility look bad. It's a shame how you don't like your job but still manage come to work and be mean to patients. I will definitely not come back at all. Please change your attitude for once or try another profession.
I've never had an issue before with asking a doctor to not prescribe me penicillin based antibiotics because my wife and both children are deadly allergic and I don't like bringing it in the house or risking cross contamination, it being on my hands or coughing it on them. First the nurse tried lying to me saying that this was the only med that treated what I have strep throat which is a lie because my kids have strep that's how I got it and there both on a non penicillin antibiotic. Then she came back and said they weren't gonna prescribe me something else take it or don't. Yeah forget my families health and wellbeing.
The staff are always polite. And you get seen all most immediately. I sat for 5 hours in a nearby hospital waiting to be seen. I checked myself out of the hospital and went to Roper northwood.. I was called to the back before I finished the paperwork. I highly recommend this location.
My son who is in Coast Guard. Went to ER and was told system down. Can’t help you. Sad….. praying he’s ok. He is on way to another hospital. I’m in another city n worried sick. Will definitely notify news about this in the morning
The doctors are horrible went there for flu test doc looked in my mouth and prescribed antibiotics and said nothing, really weird. Rest of the staff is cool tho
Had an emergency situation and stopped here on way to ER. Glad I did, absolutely Noone there. I was seen immediately. Great staff, every body was so attentive
Sean, the MD was wonderful. I cannot remember the nurses name but I do remember she had a tattoo on her right forearm, she was super friendly as well. However, the lady at the front desk seemed nice enough until I asked her if she knew how long it might take there was one other person in the ER and she curtly replied “Ma’am this is an ER, I can’t give you a time frame”. I don’t know maybe she was overwhelmed at such a high volume of 2 patients being in the waiting room itself, or the fact that it was 2am could’ve been a factor. Maybe I’m over reacting but feeling as sick as I did, and I was still capable of being polite through the process, I would’ve appreciated the same respect from the first person I see when seeking medical help!
Learn From My Mistake - Do Not Go Here At 11 weeks pregnant I visited this Roper location with abdominal pain. I was nervous of a miscarriage. I knew this location offered more then a normal Urgent Care. I arrived and asked the front desk if they provided an ultrasound, and was told they did. I went back, they took a urine sample, and weighed me. As soon as the doctor came in I asked for the ultrasound and was told they didn't offer that and I would need to go to a "real ER". I left immediately, received no treatment or advice, and told them I would go to MUSC. Fast forward a month. I received a $1,500 bill - including my urine test. I never got the results, but I was charged. But basically I had $1500 ER bill for being told I need to go to a "real" ER. Not only was this a gut punch, but just an additional heartbreak after my miscarriage. I paid my MUSC bill for my treatment and now being charge double the amount by Roper for no care what so ever. I called the billing department. The manager seemed emphatic to what happened to me, and agreed this should be put to review. She even said it sounded like the ER charge needed to be removed. 3 months passed, I never heard the outcome of review, but stopped receiving bills. I assumed the charge had been removed. Now I am receiving calls from collectors. Again I called the billing department, having to relive my miscarriage all over again. The manager apologized for not updating me and letting it "slip through the cracks" but the charges were considered valid. To sum it up, I was lied to, then told they couldn't help me, billed $1500, put through emotional pain, my case "slipped through the cracks" and now I have collections calling me for the first time in my life. Please do not put yourself through this level of negligence.
Not quite sure why it takes long to do lab work but I had to wait over an hour before getting my labwork… I should’ve went straight to the hospital for faster results
I went there in the middle of the night with lower back pain and worried. I was in and into the back fast and the nurse Shawn was on top of things treated me exceptionally well. The doctor was excellent. The x-ray guy was on point. This is a well ran deal here so I put five stars
