Rosemary Shugar Cosmetics
Rosemary Shugar is the president and founder of Rosemary Shugar Cosmetics and owner of the Rosemary Shugar Studio, located in the Chicago North Shore community of Winnetka.
Rosemary has been a licensed professional for 20 years in the fields of esthetics and make up. Her accomplishments include makeup design in media, print, theatre and film make-up. She is also highly sought after by savvy Chicago-area brides.
Born and raised in Chicago as a child, Rosemary’s mother encouraged her to pursue a career that she loved. Since early on, her passion has been make-up. At Columbia College in Chicago, she studied theatre and film make-up; and in Beverly Hills, California, she trained under internationally renowned eyebrow guru, Anastasia, who is known as the “definitive brow expert.”
She fine-tuned her make-up artistry in 1987 in Winnetka. Rosemary’s success and reputation led her to purchase and rename what is now the well known Rosemary Shugar Studio in 2001.
Today, with a staff of expert stylists, she caters to the elite clientele living on Chicago’s North Shore. Both Rosemary and her staff contribute time and services to more than two dozen different community organizations, showing others how to make a personal difference in self awareness and care.
Rosemary herself has suffered from very sensitive skin and rosacea, a skin condition that affects 14 million Americans. Her struggle to find high-quality make-up free of irritants led Rosemary to develop her own cosmetic line.
The launch of Rosemary Shugar Cosmetics has fulfilled Rosemary’s life-long dream of bringing better and healthier make-up to the public.
