created Rosie's Clothes in memory of my beloved French Bulldog Rosie.
Rosie had a traumatic, yet wonderful life. Because of her story and the impact she had on my life, I created a bulldog clothing line. The proceeds will be used to help dogs in difficult circumstances. Funds from your purchase will help dogs who need medical treatment, rescued from unsafe living conditions, or just a snuggly coat.
My little brindle Rosie had a tough past. She was used as a breeder in a puppy mill until she was rescued and later adopted. She lived with a nice woman for a few years until she fell onto difficult financial times. Sadly, she surrendered Rosie to the French Bulldog Rescue Network (FBRN). As a volunteer of FRBN, I fostered Rosie while the network looked for a forever home. At first, Rosie had a challenging adjustment when she came to live with my family. She despised my two year old French Bulldog, Louis and was visibly unsure of her surroundings. It took almost two months for her to feel safe in her new environment. But eventually, she let down her guard and showed us her spunky personality.
As a foster parent, my responsibilities included interviewing and introducing Rosie to potential families, where she could have a forever home. One day, Rosie and I were driving home from such a visit and the family seemed very interested in her. In the car, Rosie turned her head in my direction and gave me a look that said "Are you really going to make me go through this again?" After all Rosie had been through, the puppy mill, her surrender from a previous owner, and a traumatic adjustment to her foster home, I felt I couldn't put her through one more ordeal. So I adopted Rosie and enjoyed every day I had with her.
Rosie was a part of my family for almost five years. Creating the coats allowed me to transform my grief from her passing into something positive. Through Rosie's Clothes, I am able to keep her memory and spunky spirit alive. Thank you for helping dogs in their time of need, just like Rosie, they deserve a second chance for a happy life.
