Incredible food. The best Italian food I've EVER had. No comparison
A real gem of a find for us in Sun City West...smallish and cozy with friendly service and a great home cooked Chicago style menu, the portions were big and delicious. We had a pepperoni pizza, penne pasta with tomatos and spaghetti and meatballs and everything was great. Its a popular place and reservations are required....just go already!
My Italian sub is amazing but the homemade chicken soup my mom ordered was good but on the average side. But again, my Italian sub is AMAZINGLY good!
The salad was not fancy but adequate. The meal itself was somewhat tasteless. I ordered chicken fettuccine and it was bland. Our waitress was very pleasant but we had to ask for water three times. After we ordered the food was very slow to come out. We found the management to be rude, unfriendly and a little short tempered. We had invited friends to join us there for supper and were embarrassed when the lady in charge spoke rudely to our friend. We will not be back.
Excellent place to eat. I had the 6 inch meatball sub. The meatballs were huge and very tasty. The sub roll it was on was very tender. My husband had their hot sausage sub. It was equally good. Would definitely recommend it.
Rosie is still cooking every day except Sunday, but only for take-out. I called in hopes I wouldn't have to cook last night. My Chicken Parmigiana and the soup and a warm, buttered roll were ready in the promised 30 minutes and was ready to go as I walked in the door. Home in a few minutes and sat down to enjoy a delicious and relaxing dinner. They're open until 6:00 PM. Do what you can to support our local businesses during these trying times. Your appetite will thank you.
Very basic. I really liked the caprese salad. They do have a children's menu for the big eaters sure to satisfy. We were there for lunch with the kids. The white pizza was delicious and the cost didn't break the bank.
It definitely deserves at least 4 stars is only because they have gluten free lasagna. YOU NEED TO CALL AHEAD if you want to be sure they are not or if the gluten free items you want. It's not really baked, I don't think. It looked like gluten free noodles layered in a dish the heated in an oven. It was good, though. But really, I wasn't thrilled. With 3 or more people, they expect a reservation. However, they seated us 3 anyway. Everyone was nice. I guess it's only 4 stars because I haven't had lasagne in 12 years since I was diagnosed with celiac. So I was hoping for real, baked lasagna.
My friend and I had an early birthday dinner at Rosie's last night. It was our first time, even though we live in Sun City West. He ordered one of the "total pizzas" and said he couldn't recall having a better pizza!!! I ordered the Shrimp DeJonghe over linguine, which was delicious Rosie greeted us at the door and invited us to enjoy our celebration. The food and service are excellent. We will return soon!
We get pizza from this place as often as possible. Thin crust with fresh ingredients. They also have many homemade entrees on their menu. The dining room is small in size, and will take reservations for groups larger than 4. This place us located in Sun City so the locals dine early.... if you can wait til 7, you should be able to get right in! Beer and Wine Great Pizza Old school Italian Diner Worth a try... that's for sure!
