It's a unique approach to build this Roundhouse Aquarium at the heart of Manhattan beach in LA. Every person should visit this place before going to the beach to understand how his/her small effort can save many underwater lives. The display of many objects with the title of "How LONG does it take your TRASH to BIODEGRADE?" In the staircase really blew my mind ! The entire setup of the aquarium can be a great learning opportunity as an education trip for any school going kids.
Small but fun and informative aquarium. It's free but please try to make a small donation to help keep it open. Two story building with different ocean life. I like the jellyfish on the upper floor. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
Small but free aquarium with a decent variety of sea life. The large tanks have an assortment of sea bass, moray eels, and various other fish. The open tanks have lemon sharks, sea cucumbers, sea urchins, and more!
The Roundhouse Aquarium is an excellent deal for everyone, as it’s an educational experience for younger and older visitors! Aquarium tanks offer live views of how fish look when they swim. Exhibits offer an immersive insight into the local marine environment. Located at the far end of the Manhattan Beach Pier, the aquarium is in that familiar landmark building with the white exterior, green trim and red roof.
Such a lovely surprise at the end of the Manhattan Beach pier! It is a cute, small but beautiful aquarium. It is free to enter. We saw different kinds of fish, sea life, jelly fish, star fish, etc. A lot of fun for anyone who loves the sea!
Everything there is soo cute, they even have an octopus :
My first visit since the aquarium was remodeled. Several aquariums with pretty fish from Southern CA waters with educational information. Especially nice for families with young children. Several employees present to answer questions. Admission is free but donations encouraged. Beautiful location at the end of the Manhattan Beach Pier
The Roundhouse Aquarium is a fantastic spot for fishing, but arrive early!!! There are two restrooms but sometimes they are locked and need to head back to the beginning of the pier and a take a left, cannot miss it! The only unfortunate thing about the Roundhouse Aquarium is there are ZERO benches so, if you have mobility issues, bring a wheelchair or some good pain medication...
Who doesn't like seeing stuff for free! They do accept donations. Pretty cute little aquarium. They got some animals to touch or kiss. Some bone artifacts. They have some fishes, jellyfish. There's an upstairs as well.
Very nice place to visit if you are at the pier or on the beach. Views are amazing and you may see a few sharks.
