Usually a wonderful experience here.  Not this time.  After check in, it took forever to get too our room, because out of 2 elevators only one was working.  Fine understandable things like this happen.  But no one told us about it.   Found out only because we asked a worker in the stair well “  what is going on?!”  Which we took the stair well, which isn’t a problem because the elevator was taking forever.  Only to be caught off guard by a worker and or a event planner working a party/wedding telling us “ what are you doing you can’t be here”.  And rudely rushed out of the stair way exit.   Ants in our room & bathroom vent not working.  I’m not one to ever waste my time leaving a review.  But we stated that night and again in the morning at checkout how we were treated and what was going.  And both times not much was done or said.  I’m sorry but for the price of a stay here,  or anywhere for that matter is unacceptable.  Wish someone would of showed that this wasn’t to the hotel standards and something be done/acknowledged.

Very nice hotel with wonderful spa like bathrooms.  It is surrounded by a beautiful area with nice walking/biking trails. The hotel itself has a nice private garden and stream running alongside the hotel restaurant.  A fire pit and corn hole sets are provided along with bike and fly fishing rentals. The only issue I had was the lack of a coffee maker in the room. An espresso maker was provided, but I much prefer coffee.

We’ve just returned from a week at the Royal Palm Hotel in Rochester, MI. As this was our third visit we knew what to expect from this serene and lovely hotel nestled in Olde Towne Rochester. Our beautiful and comfortable room didn’t disappoint. We slept comfortably every evening and were treated to glorious views of the luxurious grounds from our window. We walked the paths daily to go into town just 5 minutes away to shop, eat, hike and meet up with friends. The on-site restaurant, Park 600, offers incredible dining with a delicious menu. We were spoiled for choice. Even on the one very rainy day we had, we had plenty of options at the hotel to keep us occupied and relaxed. We will be back. Our only suggestion would be in room tea kettle and coffee maker. That would truly be perfection!  Rooms: Well appointed and extremely comfortable. Beautiful views of the grounds.  Walkability: Great paths into downtown and around the area. 5 minute walk to Olde Towne Rochester and shops, cafes and restaurants.  Food & drinks: The food at the restaurant is superb and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and options.

The staff at Royal park took care of every detail. It’s not only a warm clean cozy hotel with warm old world flavor in a modern twist. The  staff assisted in making me feel like a Queen.  Johnson knows how it’s done!! Reflecting leadership and class throughout my stay. Offering selections to accommodate me at the last minute.  He and Michele Thomas worked to find me the perfect suite for my get away. I truly appreciate both of their efforts. Far over and beyond my expectations. Michele Thomas banquet manager never misses a detail. Her professionalism in getting the job done never disappoints. Charm and Grace.  The restaurant cocktails were fantastic. Wait staff was attentive to all my special requests. Erica was my bartender. Perfect martini every time.  This Hotel is the only place to stay in Oakland County.  Rooms: Huge clean comfortable  Food & drinks: Amazing

For $250/night in Rochester this wasn’t worth it. Clean large bathrooms but nothing was spectacular for the price. Additionally the restaurant brunch was not good at all. There is terrible cell service onsite and they gave us such a run around about early check in. It’s either $50 or $30 depending on who you talk to and they can’t guarantee it until minutes before you may need it. We hd an event starting at 3:30pm with a shuttle leaving the conference center but were unable to guarantee early check in at like 2pm not even super early so just showed up as close to the shuttle time hoping they would be able to check us in.

Ok so if you like nice things then this is not the hotel for you , if you're ok with mediocre , that's fine , everyone's taste is different . But to pay$ 400 for this is ridiculous . I paid it hoping to get a wonderful experience . Top notch my housekeeper use to work there and she told me about it . I stay close by and decided to try it  to get away from the kids . The rooms need to be updated it's very old , didn't have the nicest smell , I could hear everything in the halls , every time someone flushed their toilet. would recommend the courtyard on maple , Fairfield in Rochester hills ,motor city casino hotel , mgm over this . Food was terrible , breakfast was good and bartender during the day was great , people at hotel front desk couldn't find my keys has to wait 20 minutes , hopefully that was just isolated . But people not as professional as I would have expected .

The location is absolutely the best! We ordered the cauliflower crust pizza which we'd also tried and liked a year ago, but this time it tasted different, too greasy, not as tasty. The next time I will try a salad.Service: 4/5

Visited for a fundraising luncheon.  Our lunch was a cold, grilled chicken served with a spinach salad. The waitstaff was very accomodating. Perfect location in Downtown Rochester.  Walkability: Can walk to many of the specialty shops on Main Street and University Drive.

This hotel exceeded all expectations. The staff was super kind, helpful and knowledgeable. The cleanliness of the entire place was outstanding. The rooms were perfect and the bartenders were exceptional, as was the food.  Rooms: Clean. Perfect.  Safety: We felt very safe there! They even make you use your room key to use the elevator, which was a feature I personally enjoyed.  Walkability: The town was easy to walk to using the path that the staff told us about.  Food & drinks: Food is a bit pricey, but very good! Drinks are the same. :

Gorgeous hotel. Went for a wedding. Didn’t stay the night because I live close by. Awesome service at the bar too! The library in the lobby smells amazing.
