Roys Barn property is a unique, authentic Montana farm setting that is an incredible location for weddings! Only one wedding each weekend, takes place at Roys Barn, illuminating the importance of the event and focusing on creating a more relaxed atmosphere. The custom built log lodge, provides a perfect location for the preparations of the bridal party as well as accommodating up to 11 overnight guests. The views are spectacular in every direction, encompassing the Bridger Mountains as a backdrop to the ceremony.

I photographed a wedding last year at Roys Barn and Lodge in Bozeman, Montana. This cheerful, rustic red barn venue offers a great family friendly atmosphere and a beautiful farm country setting. It’s perfect for a wedding celebration. It’s the kind of place you would imagine a peaceful Montana country farm to be like. Mature trees, pastures of tall grass, and a flowing spring creek decorate this well maintained property. If you’re willing to explore the landscape with your photographer, you can find some lovely views of the nearby Bridger mountains and other spots for creative pictures. This couple encouraged their loved ones to make a day of enjoying the venue. In the afternoons their guests played yard games in the sunshine and conversed on the patio in the comfort of the barn’s shade. The venue’s layout was well thought out. It made for a relaxing, fun place to gather on a Bozeman summer day. The barn’s size can handle two hundred guests both outside at the wedding meadow ceremony site and inside upstairs in the barn loft. This was a welcomed advantage when the guests took shelter during a short afternoon rainstorm right after the ceremony. Once the storm passed, guest were back out celebrating in the sunshine. It just goes to show that you never know what kind of weather you’ll get during Montana summer wedding. Having this option was appreciated by all in attendance. The barn loft itself doubles as a reception dining hall and with the right song on the speaker, transforms into a great dance floor. Depending on the time of year your are there, the old barn gets a little warm during the day but cools off nicely in the evening. Such is the case for an event at an old barn. It’s totally worth it for the authenticity of the place. It’s been a popular spot for couples to get married at for many years and for good reason. It’s a pleasure to photograph there. I highly recommend it!
Absolutely beautiful venue! My wedding turned out perfect, in no small part due to Dan and Nancy. They stepped in constantly, made sure we had everything we needed, and even let us include our horses and a water slide! It was such a blast and absolutely magical.

Beautiful rustic barn. The perfect place for a wedding.
Absolutely flawless. Rent the venue for the entire weekend Friday - Sunday for a relaxing and stress-free set-up experience you will not find this option anywhere else in town. We opted to rent the immaculate Log Cabin on the property too, which sleeps up to 11 guests which we chose to be our bridal party. This fairy tale venue provided a stunning landscape and superb experience for guests at both our rehearsal dinner and wedding. Clean-up was awesome since we were able to come in Sunday morning. By far the best venue in town for the price! Nancy and Dan are super accommodating people who provide a total wedding getaway.
Nancy and Dan have created the absolute perfect setting for an authentic Montana wedding or event. The indoor/outdoor options are a plus, given the frequently changing weather in Montana. Born and raised in Montana, my now husband and I knew this was our wedding location the moment we walked onto the property. From twinkle lights in the loft to the view of the Bridgers in the background, the venue is stunning. Plus, add to that Nancy and Dan Roy themselves who are absolutely wonderful people. They are kind, caring, down-to-earth, and were committed to making our event magical. I feel incredibly lucky to have married the man of my dreams at this spot! Thank you Dan and Nancy!
Just went to a wedding here. Hosts were amazing. Grounds were beautiful. Barn was perfect. Only critique was the bugs were horrible. We had bugs climbing into our food... looked like little reverse lady bugs and they were evil.
Such a beautiful venue. Everything was top notch.
