Rustic Works came to be when two brothers, Johann and Anthony merged their dreams of making hand made high quality furniture and goods available to everyone.
Johann had crafted handmade products in his small shop for friends and family. After encouragement from friends and family he decided to expand his business to an old Whiskey warehouse in Kentucky. It was there that he became inspired by the materials left behind and incorporated the charm of the wood into his hand made creations. All the wood used is locally sourced from forests in Kentucky. The slabs of wood are cut down by foresters, milled out and dried at the Warehouse. The wood is inspected from start to finish ensuring the quality and integrity of each piece.
Anthony an entrepreneur, with a background in sales and marketing, now living in the Berkshires felt the idea of of selling his brothers goods while incorporating leather and steel materials online for the masses was just what people were looking for. Thus the Rustic Works was born. Being both brothers grew up in Kentucky bourbon country, you’ll see many pieces incorporating this feel. All the products are unique, and it's very unlikely that any two pieces will be the same.
Knowing how important being able to see and touch merchandise is, Anthony opened the first store in the Berkshires in the quaint town of Lee Massachusetts but most products are shipped from the Kentucky Warehouse.
