We are the Rutgers University Student Branch of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
IEEE's mission statement is simple: Advancing Technology for Humanity. We are the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and as the Rutgers chapter of this esteemed organization, we are devoted to inspiring and supporting a new generation of engineers and innovators as they change the world.
Rutgers IEEE hosts a wide range of programs to cater to different areas of technological innovation. Our Machine Learning Division challenges students to implement and test cutting edge algorithms, often involving elements computer vision and robotics. Our Signals and Security Division works to identify cyber weaknesses as our world grows more digital and connected. Our Internet of Things Division develops and improves "Smart Home" technologies that make our lives more convenient and efficient. Our Drones & Aerial Robotics Division builds drones, utilizing computer vision and sensors to implement autonomous drone navigation and obstacle avoidance. And the centerpiece of Rutgers IEEE is the Robotics Division, comprised of five competitive teams that go head to head with the country's most prestigious universities.
With our diverse array of programs targeting at pushing the limits of technology through student initiative, we making significant headway in establishing the Rutgers community as a hub for creativity and ingenuity.
