Arrived at 9 pm. The Carolina Dining Room stopped taking reservations at 9pm. The Ryder’s Cup Lounge was open. I ordered a couple appetizers: Fried Green Tomatoes with White Cheddar Grits, Smoked Pimento Cheese, Kale, Tomato and Golden Raisin Chutney. Sandhills Caprese with Fresh Mozzarella, Thick Tomatoes, Basil, Olive Oil and Balsamic and Grilled Crostini. The service was great and food was delicious. The appetizers came out almost immediately! Following the appetizers, we enjoyed cocktails on the porch. Pinehurst has a beautiful southern Christmas ambiance!
Decent food and service. Large portion sizes. If sensitive to salt ask for low salt. Note, there's no hostess that seat you. Our server was very sweet but most other serving staff seemed preoccupied even to look you in the eye.
Enjoyed our evening here with some drinks. It was very limited menu yesterday but we still enjoyed fish and chips with some good salads
Great service, great food. It was getting late and in Pinehurst, this was the only thing still open. We had already been drinking and got a quick bite. Place was packed, but the waitress quickly found us a table within 2 minutes. Got a couple burgers, they were on point. Great little lounge!Dine in: Yes
Went for lunch at the Ryder Cup Lounge. First, they can barely accommodate gluten free. No GF menu or notations on menu. No GF bread offered unlike sister restaurant on the 18th green, The Deuce. Pretty much salads only leaving the croutons off which is what my wife, who has celiac ordered. They were out of salmon which was normally on the salad. They served us the Sauvignon Blanc wine we ordered. It was not cold so the waitress perceptively brought us a cup of ice with the wine. Really? She must have thought we were having iced tea. Honestly we should have sent it back and ordered something else. The southern fried chicken sandwich I had was good, so that pulls my rating up to 3 stars. For us, not going back.
TheRyder cup has been a favorite of mine for over 15 years. I loved the traditional Cobb salad Today my girlfriend and I each ordered a half a Cobb. What we were served was about a half of the normal half They used to serve. It did not resemble a traditional cobb At all. It was all designer lettuce, there were two small tomato slices Instead of chopped tomatoes. There was sliced chicken on one side and smoked Salmon on the other?? Did have the avocado and blue cheese. Service was great as usual, Benny was our waiter, don’t think we Will be going back.
The meatloaf dinner was good and filling. My husband had the black bean soup, a little bit spicy and he had the Ceasar salad with Shrimp. Dessert was the toffee bread pudding with ice cream. Service was awesome.
Solid food overall, but the service when we went was slow. They seated our large-ish group of eight of us quickly but it took around 15 minutes to take our drink order and another 45 minutes after that for the food to show up. They were busy, but it wasn't that busy. I hope it was an off night in terms of service, but the manager came around at the end to give us a free round of drinks. It didn't make up for everything but it helped. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food in the group. Chicken sandwiches and burgers were the favorites in our group.
Benny the bartender was wonderful n blessed with southern hospitality. He exuded kindness to everyone he served. Try the smoked chicken wings, they were really good. I would love to walk the grounds and take in all the history and the stories that surely are able to be enjoyed for years to come. Check it out.
Had an early dinner here, and unfortunately, it was sub par! Chicken parmesan was very overcooked and the breading was partially burnt, also had very little sauce and cheese. The usually very creamy and yummy mac n cheese was dry and tasteless. Ended up sending it back. Ordered a medium burger on brioche and it was also very overdone and the bread was partially burnt. The management took care of the bill and the wait staff was attentive and apologetic. The dessert was very good. It was not what you would expect at a Pinehurst resort property. I know that others around us were having issues as well. Hopefully, they will get their kitchen staff on par with the reputation the rest of the resort has. Pun intended
