The Mission of St. Linus School is to educate and inspire each child with Christ-centered values through challenging education and community involvement.
t. Linus School has thrived for the last half-century in providing Catholic faith-based education to children. Our school serves children who are in preschool, kindergarten, and in grades 1-8. Students come from within St. Linus Parish and from over fifteen neighboring communities to attend our fine school, which is staffed with truly dedicated and highly-motivated teachers.
St. Linus is proud to be awarded a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence seal. This U.S. Department of Education award was given to St. Linus in 2011. Only 50 private and parochial schools throughout the nation receive this honor each year, and once a school is recognized they cannot reapply for at least another five years. St. Linus was chosen for this award due to our students’ outstanding performance on national tests and the school’s overall excellence. Our school continually tests in the top 15% in the U.S. in reading, language arts, and mathematics.
To maintain this high standard our teachers work hard to provide a rigorous curriculum. In addition, our principal sets the bar high for students by offering merit based rewards for achievement. Middle school students receiving high honors and exhibiting adequate service hours and exemplary behavior are inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.
Our school enjoys participating in sports programs and strongly encourages academic achievement of its athletes. As part of our high standards of academic excellence, St. Linus actively enforces our rules of ineligibility for athletes who do not have passing grades in any subject.
