Today I purchased a package of "Triple Ginger" moravian cookies thins from a Charlotte retail store. I have visited Old Salem since the age of 8 years old aka 1990's. I still have the clay pipe and bees wax candles that I made during my numerous elementary school tours. I have also made numerous trips to Old Salem throughout my adult years and have purchased goods straight from the bakery. I have always been in love with the traditional and quality goods that the Old Salem Bakery provided. However, when I tasted these cookies today a wave of disappointment ensued. They were soft and not like the crisp ginger thins that I have grown accustomed to. I understand that with large scale production quality is hard to monitor, but to sacrifice the quality and craftsmanship in your products is not something I expected.
These are fabulous. Tried the Meyer Lemon and Blood Orange flavours. Wish they were available in Montreal!
