The official Facebook page of the Sam M. Walton College of Business - Office of Diversity & Inclusion at the University of Arkansas.
Diversity values and concepts are embedded in the vision, mission, core values, and credo of the Sam M. Walton College of Business. It is the educational value of diversity that is most important to us as a learning organization. It is crucial that our students are prepared to be productive members of the global society in which they will live and work. The Walton College is committed to increasing students’ awareness of diversity and increasing the extent to which they value its significance. Therefore, we hold ourselves responsible for achieving these goals by including them in the statements of who we are as an organization.
The Office of Diversity Programs was developed in 1994 to support, advocate and assist the Walton College in developing plans for diversity throughout the college.
Vision:
The Sam M. Walton College of Business is a nationally competitive business school that combines excellent student learning experiences with quality research serving Arkansas and the world.
We believe that without embracing diversity values, we cannot serve “Arkansas and the world”.
The Office of Diversity & Inclusion plays a part in several organizations and programs on the University of Arkansas campus, including:
National Association of Black Accountants (NABA)
The George Washington Carver Research Program
Technology Awareness Program (TAP)
Business Leadership Academy (BLA)
Our office also publishes the Bi-Annual Voices Newsletter, which was created to showcase achievements of students (past and present), faculty, and staff members of the Sam M. Walton College of Business.
