I shop at the Auburn Hills MI location frequently. The store is always clean and well stocked. Yesterday I was there and was struggling to find an item. I asked an associate who was in the middle of a project if he could direct me. He stopped what he was doing and walked me over to what I needed. Big shout out to Daren for helping me stay sane. Always great people there.
Overall good store. Smaller than other Sam's Clubs. I really like the scan and Go. Store was understaffed - at least 20 shoppers in line to get out of the store.
06/20/2023 10:15 am...I have one item and am standing in line with 3 full carts in front of me, and 2 full carts behind me...but there is only one cashier. There are 4 other cashier lanes unattended. Is this what my $50.00 per year membership provides? It's obvious that Sam's Club wants to direct patrons to the self checkout lanes, where only a "debit card" is allowed. Sam's Club is only interested in "quick... on the spot... debit card immediate funds, which immediately puts money into the Sam's Club account. Sam's Club doesn't represent the needs of the Consumer...just the greedy day-to-day needs of Sam's Club. Am I'm wrong? Next time you're standing in a 5 cart deep line, with only one check out cashier, ask the Manager "Why are you making me wait ?!"
Store is easy to navigate. Workers are mostly helpful. Sometimes, I will run into a person who is probably tired of answering an urgent but inane question at 8 pm when the store closes. I have found that there may be items in the store that may show out of stock online. The online order pickup area is rather difficult to find. It is past the tire section. I love the Sam's club app! I check out entirely using the app. there is no need to wait in the line!
This was my first time in Sam’s club and I was asked by Patti if I needed any assistance. She walked me around the store and explained the membership process she walked me through the app and helped me setup an account. When I made a purchase she also walked me through the steps to bypass the register and pay on the app. Patti was amazing and it was great to get personalized customer care. I felt like I was her personal customer. Thank you Patti!
Between Sam's and Costco I'm still comfortable with my Costco membership. But it's always good to occasionally do a tour of the other as you may find the selection which happens to overlap significantly to see which is a better fit for you. If you are a small family or a big family you may find it to be reasonable to be members of both clubs. I found this Sam's to be clean and fairly well stocked. Their fresh fish selection was very good and their selection of liquor is better than Costco. You can buy liquor at either club without a membership. We were at Sam's for my wife's COVID vaccination, but you can enter anytime without a membership to buy liquor and look around.
Just brought home the Vanilla Chantilly Crème Barcake with berries and it was so delicious! Really happy that Sam’s has these unique options for desserts because it is easy to pick up, fresh & tasty, and the price was also reasonable. It’s also easy and convenient to pick up a dessert for an event while shopping for regular groceries at the same time. Will definitely be trying something new next time!
Gas is great here! Even when it’s backed up it doesn’t wake long. People pull in where there are spots, even if that means backing up. Most of the associates inside are nice but there are a few rude ones. That’s why I gave them 4 not 5.
Sam's Club is the perfect place to find great prices, especially on groceries!! It's also a great place to buy in bulk to stock up!! However, if you're looking for electronics, furniture, kitchen appliances, clothes, books, outdoor equipment & games, this is also a great place to find those items!! This location is a good one, friendly & helpful staff and everything is decently stocked!!
Costco got Chicken Bake and stopped combo pizza! But Sams got Pizza pretzels, Brownie sundae, all meat pizza, deluxe pizza and many!
