I have never been to Urgent care in my life so I was expecting a long wait, at least an hour or two. The first visit was about 90 minutes, but I had to return for follow up 3 more times over 2 weeks and each visit was less than an hour. I thought that was very reasonable. It was way better than standing in line for over an hour at the Safeway pharmacy unreasonable. I was very impressed with everyone I had contact with and the service I received. It’s so convenient at about 2 miles from my house and with parking right outside the door. Samaritan Coastal Clinic is great!
They do not offer high quality care here. If you are actually sick the Drs are quick to ignore and not investigate the problem. They would rather slap a band ade on the problem and dismiss you. I would not recommend this place for anyone looking for a new primary care Dr.
Lots of good people work here. However sometimes the criteria they have for a person to have a survey is beyond reach due to a bad knee with bone on bone. So in other words this person will eventually not be able to walk at all and struggle to male it to the so called criteria. Had another bad experience with a surgeon we had to get rid of in the past. I am done with Samaritan Health System moving forward. Compassion and Empathy is sadly lacking in key people in this organization.
Samaritan walk in clinic. Arrived about 9am. Hardly anyone there. Sat in waiting room for 2 hours. Finally got into the room. They tell me about 10 minutes. Waited over an hour. Finally saw someone. Decided I needed a chest xray. But, oh no, the xray girls all went to lunch. What?! So, Sent to the hospital, to wait there for over an hour. Got xray, no diagnosis. Went to Safeway to pick up my prescriptions. Clinic had sent wrong information, so had to sit and wait there. Since they hadn't bothered to ask what I was taking already, one of my prescriptions was expensive Mucinex, which I declined, because I already had some generic. The wait is just plain abuse. I am sicker now than I was when I went in, from all the stress, and all the waiting. Would give a 0 if I could. Horrible place. Bad management or? Anyway, don't go here.
Went with my dad and mom to see Dr. Justin Duke. He was amazing! Very thorough and informative. Loved the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
As always, I didn't sit but 5 minutes before I was called to the back. Doctor was nice and took her time with me...I don't like to be rushed.
I'm very disappointed in my last visit. So I had a tooth started swelling on Friday the size of a half of a softball. I couldn't get in the a dentist untill Monday a holiday I was give the wrong antibiotics for what was going on. I got sent home from work on a busy holiday weekend this never happens. I was in real pain I call to try and get a doctor's note so I could not have to go back to work they said no problem 20 to 30 minutes I said okay I'll swing by. Got there waited 20 minutes. I told the I had to go to work I can't be late and miss a day of work . So went to work and two days later they finally tell nope can't do anything for you suffer.
The nurses and doctors here are amazing and always help and listen to me everytime I come in and are very helpful
I saw John M Nightingale here and it’s the best experience I’ve had with a doctor! He was super thorough in explaining what was going on and treatment options. All of his staff were awesome as well and helped me when I had an issue with MyChart. Initially they gave me a brochure and then the next day called me back to help me some more, which totally surprised me! Awesome place all around.
Easy access, nice staff, rigid rules. They don't refill scripts, which would make sense to me, save for extenuating circumstances. Like you recently moved, have not established a local primary, suffered a movement disorder and acute withdrawal from medication could be a death sentence. All during a public health crisis in an active fifth wave. Those are extenuating circumstances. "Call your psych". Neurologist/internist would be correct. I've not a psychologist to call, nor need of one. But good at what they do. It's the won't do, that might kill you.
