Description

Sammy Flores, owner, has always dreamed big. He started with soccer. As a child he aspired to be a professional soccer player in his native country, Mexico. At the young age of 18 he joined his first professional team, Oro, Injury cut his career short but that didn't stop Sammy from reaching for his next goal. He wished to move to the United States of American, obtain citizenship, and become successful living the American Dream.

He moved to the United States at age 24 in 2003. His first job was at a Mexican chain restaurant washing dishes. Sammy spent two years working, seven days a week, non-stop, to earn the money needed to obtain his next goal of owning his own restaurant. In 2005 El Pueblo was opened. A restaurant specializing in his favorite kind of food, Mexican. After immediate success he wanted more and set out to open a new restaurant. What better way to honor his own American Dream than specializing in the iconic American Favorite- Burgers and Beers. Thus, Sammy's Gourmet Burgers and Beers was born in 2009.

The food was great! The prices were a bit high. $10 for a side of Mac and cheese was too much. My burger was $24 and was delicious and a fair value. Overall, I would recommend! The onion rings were great! One other thing was that my burger never mentioned being served with elote street corn but it did! The elote was delicious!
Just a little place. The staff was fine. The food looked fabulous but taste was nothing stellar. Also burger size seemed reserved. We got 2 burgers, some pretzel bites, a beer and water. After tip $75. Too expensive for what we got. We wont be going bk. Too many places in the world. We tried it. Parking: Its a small parking lot so get there early.
I'm disappointed. I've heard great things about this place but there were small disappointments that added up to a not great experience. We came on burger week and the quarter pound burger was the size of a kid's menu burger. I personally really enjoyed the flavor of the burger special. The fries were good, but the beer cheese was not one I need to eat again. The milkshakes are huge. Totally easy to share but not super thick. We were pretty shocked to see a credit card charge on our check at the end of the meal.
We were in the area and decided to give this place a try. On the small side, but plenty of room was available when we stopped by for a late lunch. My wife and I both had burgers. She went with the sweet potato fries while I went with the garlic fries. The food was good, but I expected something special for the $20+ price tag. The food didn't deliver that. Then you get a bill with a cash and credit price. I'm guessing next time, I can find another spot to drop $60 for lunch and pay the same cash or credit.
Maple Bacon Burger was decent. The fries were scarce for the price. I ordered the Sammy Burger without a bun and asked the server about the “Sammy sauce”. I had to remind her about the side of Sammy sauce. I ordered the chicken quesadilla for my child and the waitress ASSUMED I wanted a kids cheese quesadilla. She did offer to put chicken on the side for an up charge. A small cup of soda is $4.75??? I’m glad I stopped by and tried the place but definitely not worth the money. The staff was very nice.
I have the privilege of experiencing Sammy's again for the third time on my travels. I'm not usually up here in Ohio, but when I am, I will be eating here. Hands down, the best burger joint in all my travels over the past 5 years. Everything is excellent. I come back for the food, but the location and atmosphere make a perfect burger joint. Service was impeccable. I ordered the Burbon burger today, which was great, but my favorite still is the Jucy Lucy. Always get the fretboard beer cheese fries, and I recommend the pretzel bites. I washed it down with Vlad the Impaler Czech Pilsner, and a New Riff on ice. The burgers are cooked to order, and it came out a perfect medium pink. Definitely come visit Sammy's, it's worth it. This place is... Maloy Approved.
Best taco I’ve had since moving from California to Michigan over a year ago. Authentic street taco flavor with a twist. First time here, staying next door and grabbing this quick before heading to a concert. Wish I had time to come back. ThanksFood: 5/5
Cincy burger week, pictured is the maple bacon burger and $4 fries & $4.75 pop. the burger is pretty much the same size as a kids burger. the burger was average, it was good but would not crave worthy. wife tried to order the burger week one without onions and they said no substitutions. i will say the fries while its a small protion were very good, crispy and seasoned Parking: a pretty small lot
I had the Blue Ask Club with Cole slaw and it was incredible! Juicy and full of flavor. The BBQ sauce and bacon brought the flavors together. The service was incredible! Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking and Sammy's is a single story building
We have eaten here numerous times, and it never disappoints. Everything is delicious at this location. The owner and management takes pride in delivering an excellent product. I highly recommend the jalapeño cheese balls for an appetizer. Any of the burgers are delicious and my wife says the top shelf margaritas are the best she’s ever had in her life. You won’t go away hungry but you will get a dent in the wallet
