San Juan County Fire Department, District 11,
Dzilth-Na-O-Dithle is located 45 miles south of Bloomfield, New Mexico on US Hwy 550.
District 11 was established in 1992 with the fire station being constructed near the Dzilth-Na-O-Dithle Mesa which means "the mountain that turns around" in Navajo.
District 11 covers an area of 951 square miles from County Road 7010 to the San Juan County line at the 107 milemarker on US 550, and from NM Road 371 to the San Juan County line in the east with four pieces of apparatus
We have one engine, one rescue, one utility, one tanker and one brush truck to respond to the various calls the district receives.
We currently have 7 volunteer firefighters, 2 probationary firefighters and 5 support members serving the district from our station.
District 11 provides fire and EMS services to the citizens of San Juan County from CR 7010 south to the county line.
Due to the closure of the only fire department on 550 in Rio Arriba County, District 11 has been responding first due over the county line as well.
