The bathrooms have doors now! This a great park with lots of shade and picnic benches. The playground is for older kids not too easy for younger kids but they still have a great time with all the grass.
Nice location for a park, either the last exit before or first exit after the 20 mile gap between Oceanside and Orange County. They have a parking lot and a bathroom, good spot to know for heavy drivers between San Diego and LA/OC because of the location Playground: Yes Restrooms: Yes. Picnic area: Yes but not great.
We love this playground! Kids are 9, 8, and 6 and have known it all their lives - they still have this park as one of their top 3 to go to! Playground: Two separate structures, depending on age and skill Restrooms: Love that it is there for us - just in case Dog-friendliness: Lots of people bring their dogs! Picnic area: Multiple picnic tables and they are in great shape - could easily host a birthday party here
Lovely clean smallish park with green grass, swings, and good play structures for children. Numerous parents with toddlers. Playground: Clean well maintained play structures. Dog-friendliness: Yes Picnic area: Green well maintained grassy area.
It's a great park but the neighborhood is weird.. Beautiful homes on one side. Then ghetto apartments and alley way with homeless people around. It's a real mixed bag but worth the trip. On the golf course practically.
Easy access and convenient parking. Perfect place for pooches to play and also connected to the golf course for taking a nice walk
Plenty of space for kids to play soccer or play on equipment. Only 2 cement tables. Playground: Clean, no trash. Park worker kept park clean. Restrooms: Clean. Restrooms had doors.
I stopped here after I visited the beach and honestly I was going to walk around and take a few photos but two things. The parking lot is behind questionable looking apartments, I didn't feel safe and as I made my way to the park, one of the residents came out at same time with two mean pitbulls. I like dogs just not one that can kill me . If you respect yours and your kids life there are probably safer, more welcoming places to be
Little park near me where I walk my dog, nice grass area, trees, and great kids play yard. They even have a Little Book Library where you can pick up a book or leave one..
I live next to it so I go there a lot. There is a really big grass fell where you can play sports or host events there. The play area is really meant for littler kids, but big kids can have their fun on the play set as well. Living next to the park really tells me a lot about San Luis Rey Park. I recommend this park because it is really fun for grown ups, big kids, and of course littler kids
