Sanchez Contemporary was born out of our love for the arts and artists. Our goal is to support the many Bay Area Chican@/Latin@ artists and offer a space where they can exhibit their art in a gallery setting and share their talent and creativity with the community. Art is legacy, it's what remains after we leave this earth. Art tells stories ... we see ourselves reflected in it. In it you find our beliefs, history, familia, convictions and our everyday lives.
The gallery offers a beautiful space for the arts, music and poetry while also enjoying a great cup of cafecito in our adjacent cafe Tertulia Coffee.
We are also collectors of art and want to share our passion for collecting with others, by offering workshops on collecting art, painting workshops, art therapy, artist panels and conversations.
Investing in and educating our youth is also high on our priority list, therefore we will be supporting local university students with educational scholarships – (a portion of gallery sales will be applied to establishing a scholarship fund).
