Sandhill Child Development Center, founded in 2004, provides a clinically sophisticated therapeutic program in a nurturing “homelike” environment. At the heart of this philosophy is helping children improve the ability to emotionally regulate. Our holistic approach addresses a child’s needs on all levels by integrating our treatment philosophy in every aspect of a child’s day. Sandhill Child Development Center emphasizes a relationally-based clinical approach that is grounded in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) developed by Bruce Perry, M.D., Ph.D. and The ChildTrauma Academy. In 2011, Sandhill became the first residential treatment center in the nation to complete a multi-year certification process with The ChildTrauma Academy to become a certified NMT Partner Site.
